We've been out grocery shopping this morning, I've done a nice roast for lunch (we haven't had one for ages!), and this afternoon I'm going out (alone!) to meet some friends.  I am noticing I've got more energy at the moment, and less inclined to just slouch around all day. It feels nice!

The weather is a pain today, it's part gloriously sunny so I open all the doors, then it chucks it down for a bit, so I close them again, and it's just on and off between the tw.  Annoying that I can't get the washing out.  It's meant that DH couldn't go to the car boots today, so at least no new stuff!

I had a nice meet up with friends this afternoon.

I've also been browsing this evening and found us a reasonable break in Wales on the week that we're all off.  I've booked it, and also booked for the kids and me to go swimming and bowling tomorrow.  I feel a bit sick for spending all that money, even though I said we were going to use the water refund and bank switch money for activities during the holidays!  I'm sure I'll get over it though :D

You've got the money to pay for it and haven't put it on a credit card so go and enjoy it.

The kids and I have had a good day, but another spendy one.  We went swimming and bowling today (paid for yesterday) but also lunch, and then on the way home I stopped at the school uniform shop and got the branded items we needed.  At least that's done now.  We just need shoes which I'm going to go back to buying decent ones as last year we went cheap and it was a false economy, and then shirts/trousers/shorts which can all just come from the supermarket.

Tomorrow I plan on staying home and trying to do some stuff around the house.  Little jwil has made arrangements to meet his friends. I've promised little miss that she can see hers at some point too, but not tomorrow.  I probably ought to try and find some time to do some surveys and try and get some extra in.

Cheap shoes are indeed a false economy.
