Haha, weirdly I enjoy doing housework. I usually put Kisstory on (or Christmas songs this time of year) and get scrubbing! It’s so nice when it’s done 😍 I managed to get all the Christmas presents out from my bedroom and under the tree aswell so I can now see plenty of floor space in my bedroom again! The girls’ presents are hiding at work in a payroll cupboard so I’ll bring them home a few days before Christmas 👌🏼
All my direct debits have gone out, including the minimum payment to my NatWest CC 😊 So we’re up to £81.87/£600.00
I’m only working this morning as I booked this afternoon off, so I’ll work from home. I have a nail appointment for the first time in a year 😱 I’ve hated not having my nails done after 12 years of having them done! So I’m looking forward to having pretty nails again 😊 I have a lot of beauty appointments this week because it’s the works Christmas party on Friday. All budgeted for, however I have not bought a new outfit this time & I’m wearing the same dress and shoes as I did last year which is very unlike me.1 -
I’ve switched my bank account to NatWest as it’ll mean my credit card, mortgage and current account will all be on the same app and I get £180.00 to switch 😁
Going to spend the money as follows:
£111.00 to clear the Very account
£30.82 to clear the Next account
£2.18 towards the Barclaycard
£36.00 to pay for a coat I’ve been eyeing up as I’ve been needing a new coat for ages - it was £69.99 but New Look have reduced the cost by almost half 😁
Work was busy this morning but it flew by and then I went to get my nails done. My mum was having hers done when I got there 😆 After that I picked up DD1 from school and drove her to her dad’s house so she didn’t have to walk as I’m a nice mummy 😉

Brrrr today is cold and I can’t get warm despite wearing 2 layers, laying under a blanket and the heating being on 24 degrees… Hope I’m not getting ill, I’m too busy to be ill 🤣
I woke up at 4:30am and couldn’t get back to sleep so now I’m ready for my bed but I’m not going yet. Must. Stay. Awake!
I went to the office today and it was like Santa's grotto in there 😍 Sooooo many Christmas decorations! I managed to get through a chunk of my ridiculous inbox so that’s good. Only got 2 days of work left this week & then my long weekend starts 🥳
I hope I get my new debit card soon - I’ve not switched bank accounts in a long time so I can’t remember how long these things take but I suppose I have my credit cards as a back up if I need to spend money. I can always pay it off as soon as the new debit card arrives 😊 I’ll need to give work, HMRC & Universal Credit my new bank details soon.
I get my girls back tomorrow 🥰 but only for 2 nights ☹️ so will make the most of our evenings together. It’s been this way for over 7 years and I still don’t like it! Miss their cheeky chatter when they’re not here. Don’t miss the mess though 😆1 -
Morning! It’s Wednesday, or hump day as some people call it, and I’m definitely getting ill. It’s not too bad at the moment but I’ve got a feeling it’s what my mum had last week 😬 Really hoping I’ll be ok for the Christmas party in 2 days!
I’ve paid £200.00 off the holiday balance, so need to pay £1,738.60 by 14/05/2025.
I’ve activated Apple Pay for my new debit card and I’ll apparently receive it in the next 5 working days so I shouldn’t need to use any of the credit cards 😊
I’ve just got to work and have made myself a nice hot coffee. I’ve got soooo much to do today so I think I’m going to stick my Spotify playlist on and just hustle 😆1 -
I also enjoy housework and ironing! Actually great sense of achievement when the house is organised. Being slightly OCD about it also helps lol!0
-
You’re better than me @[Deleted User] - I don’t iron! I don’t even own an iron 😂 If I need to iron something I go to my parents’ house, or one of my best friend’s 😆
Everything went wrong at work today. IT issues being the main thing 🙃 Tomorrow will be better as we’re doing a fun wreath making class in the afternoon! 🥰
I didn’t spend anything today… I need more days like that 😂 Though DD1 needs new winter clothes so may have to order her some soon.1 -
Good evening Diary!
Today has been manic to say the least! I dropped DD1 at her school, then DD2 at hers, and then dashed to the office for 9am. Then it was a morning of trying to cram 2 days of work in 3 hours 😂 as I’m off tomorrow, plus I knew I wasn’t going to be working much in the afternoon due to the wreath making activity.
I went out for a 2km walk with a colleague at lunchtime which was nice. And then the wreath making activity started… wow 🤣 I am shocking! Mine looked awful but it was really good fun and that’s the main thing. I couldn’t get over the smell, it was like we were in a forest 😍
After we’d finished I went back to my desk to do some more work, then I left to pick DD2 up from the childminder’s, and then I went home and my friend turned up at the same time to do my monthly eyebrow wax & pedicure. Then I cooked dinner, put a wash on, and now I’m working. I’m exhausted! 😴

Hello 😊 It’s Friday, I’m on annual leave, and I’m currently sitting on my sofa enjoying the peace so I thought I’d pop on ☺️
I’ve told my employer, HMRC and Universal Credit that I’ve changed my bank details but apparently I’ve got to call UC to confirm over the phone, so I’ll do that soon.
My mum & dad have been over and had a look at one of my kitchen lights as it’s not working and apparently the whole thing needs replacing, not just the bulb. My dad is going to buy it for me and then fit it and then I’ll give him the money.
I’m going to get my hair done shortly as it’s in desperate need of some TLC and then I’ll be going over to the local MAC counter to get my eye make-up done ready for tonight 😊 Then it’ll be a case of getting home, doing the rest of my make-up, getting my outfit on and then driving to the venue. I want to drive as I’m not much of a drinker anyway and the venue is about 20 miles away by so seems silly paying for a taxi or hotel room.
Total debt paid so far this month is £281.87/£600.00, just waiting for my £180.00 bonus to hit and then I can fling some more at it which will take it into the £7Ks 🙂2 -
Morning! Storm Darragh is being loud and woke me up - what is it with all the storms recently?! They need to have a day off 🙃
The Christmas party was a bit rubbish to be honest. Partly because none of my department went, partly because the food wasn’t great, but the main reason for me was because about an hour before it started my best friend text me with a scary health update and now it’s very possible she’s got cancer 😭 so I felt really down all night just thinking about her and how she must be feeling. She’s had biopsies taken and over the next 2 weeks she needs to have more tests & scans so it’s going to be a horrible limbo period. She lives about 130 miles away from me so I’ve offered to travel down to see her. Hate being so far away from her 😞
Although it’s Saturday today I want to do some work so I think I’m going to make myself a coffee now and then bring my laptop into bed so I can be lazy while I work 🙂 I doubt I’d be able to get back to sleep anyway while Darragh is having a party outside 🤣

I spoke to my friend on the phone earlier and I’m going to see her next weekend, unless her surgery to have the mass removed happens before then which is unlikely. She told me a bit more about the appointment and what was said, and the doctor thinks it is cancer and it’s more about what stage it’s at rather than if she has it or not. I can’t get my head around it but I’m trying to be strong for her. She’s like my sister 🥺Sold a dress on Vinted for £15.00 so sent the money towards the holiday. We’re up to £296.87/£600.00 so almost halfway there 😊1
