Debt Collectors after nearly 5 years (Trace debt recovery /moorside legal)

Hello all,
Please advise.

Please advise.
In July 2024, I began to receive correspondence from Trace debt recovery, for a parking charge notice from UKPS that I apparently received in November 2019. I tried contacting them maybe once, to find out where it was for as the letter didn’t provide the details of where I was served this. I never really followed it up.
As of last month, the debt has now been transferred to moorside legal and I have just received the second letter from them. The first letter provided the name of the car park where I received the notice, however, when I looked it up on the internet, it doesn’t seem to exist.

I don’t think I have received any other letters or notifications prior to the letter in July.
So far I haven’t engaged with Trace debt or moorside. I tried to set up a payment plan, but I discovered this forum.
Can anyone please advise on what the best course of action will be? I am scared of getting a CCJ. I have attached the 1st and most recent letter.

Hello and welcome.
The fourth post of the NEWBIES thread explains exactly how to deal with debt collector's letters, but to summarise that post - ignore them.4 -
Hi,
So, you received this correspondence in 2024 relating to a parking charge in 2019? Have they confirmed your car registration, the time and date of the parking 'offence' and the full address of the carpark they are alleging you were parked? If not, this does not seem kosher to me. Please don't rush to pay as this may well be a scam?
I was given a PCN in January 2024. All details e.g. car registration, time and date, carpark location were all stated on the sticker. (I appealed in an email and the charge was dismissed a few days later).
Hopefully, others on this forum will be able to advise you more. I wish you well.

Yep you can ignore that letter but respond with the template in the second post of the NEWBIES thread when you get a LBC.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The last letter from moorside legal only states the date of the incidence and the name of a carpark that doesn’t exist. But will take the advise given and hope for the best.0 -
No need to hope. Dead easy to defend any parking claim.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Why are you calling this a "fine" you won't find that word on any paperwork from any of the scammers. That waffle about a fair amount set by our client's government approved accredited trade association COP is just rubbish. Their COP isn't approved by anyone only themselves, and that add on is regularly thrown out by judges what ever the outcome in the SCC.That is just another begging letter at the moment, they are ramping up the anti now as the whole thing will time out in November.I suspect that you may have moved house after the original PCN was issued or your vehicle details were not up to date at the time?4

It won't time out because Moorside will issue a claim. Which is fine! Easy to defend.
In your first post, you called the parking firm 'UKPS'. Do you mean UKCPS?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hello, I received the same letter from Moorside Legal with charge of £626.68.
I read the newbies thread, but I'm little confused because my English is not very good.
Is it the LBC letter that or I should wait for another and then respond?0 -
