Overstayed at North Place, Cheltenham by 12 minutes and got a letter from Euro Car Parks

Hi, we were about to head back to our car, and we our very young son (suspected autism, but not diagnosed) had a meltdown causing us to overstay at the car park
This is a long shot but do you think it's worth appealing? My wife is keen just to pay it and get it over with, of course with the incentive of only having to pay £60 if we pay within 14 days, reducing the appeal (no pun intended) of appealing the charge (and realistically, on what grounds could we realistically even appeal).
Thank you

Try plan A in the newbies sticky thread in announcements. ( Complain about the PCN to the Landowner and try to get it cancelled ASAP. )2

Nobody pays ECP. It amazes me that people are keen to pay private parking charges.
Complain to the site landowner to get it cancelled.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you guys, sorry I forgot to say that I’ve tried to find the land owner but have no idea who it is. It’s not a clear cut one like a shop etc. Is there a chance it’s actually owned by Euro Car Parks?0
