    mentioned known weather situations
so if hurricane due before you go your not covered

insurance covered both ways in not paying out
    This is the sticking point.

So you're saying the insurance company won't pay because the flight still went ahead, but if you HAD taken the flight, they also wouldn't have paid to get you home or move you somewhere safe?

You booked a flight in hurricane season that still went ahead, but you had insurance that wouldn't cover this. Who is your insurance with? I think you should have made sure given the time of year you were flying that your insurance would cover any potentially hurricane issues.

If the insurance company didn't make this clear at the time of booking and you were not given these T&Cs until after you booked then you might have a case for it being an unfair term.

It's like when flying to ski holidays in the Alps - always check the insurance will cover flights cancelled due to too much snow, and what they will cover.

Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
