Erm...no. It's simply a case of peak season and off-peak and, as Florida is a whole state and not just a resort, the economy will continue to function and people will travel throughout the year.Argonauts said:Imagine nobody going to Florida just incase a hurricane appeared!!

People can take a chance. Mitigate the risk by buying (more expensive) flexible tickets or travelling at another (more expensive) time of year.1 -

We flew home on Tuesday 8thOctober from Melbourne so not too far from Tampa weather was fine until the Wednesday/Thursday. Third time we have been during a hurricane. If the flights are operating insurance won’t cover youArgonauts said:BA not concerned

hurricanes are such a common occurrence they only cancel flights roughly 24 hours before they expect it to hit land and all local hotels were open for business including special rates on Wednesday/Thursday for locals that were worried about being at home and worried they may lose power again happens each time hurricane expected0 -
