Hello, everybody!
I decided to join in. I'm trying to sell my house, get all things ready for the viewings and photos that will be coming very soon (we're in the middle of switching agents), and I need motivation to do all my things. I'll be posting over in the mortgage threads soon.
I have edited the main list (I hope this is okay) as we live in a bungalow so if there are stairs, I've come home to the wrong house!
Tuesday - Lovely Living Rooms and Safe Stairs
Level One
Vacuum floors in these areas, even if around clutter
Level Two
Move things so you can vacuum under them
Vacuum and wipe (if needed) sofas
Dust any areas below eye level
Level Three
Dust anything above eye level (if safe to do so)
Clear anything that shouldn't be where it is, should the magazines really be on the floor?
MAD half hour
Extra tasks if you want to do more- Clean windows in these areas, check curtains/nets/blinds while you are there, do they need a clean?
- Have the mortgage conversation with the broker, again.
- Do 1 load of washing.
- Clean and clear up all cans, cups, etc.

Welcome to the thread Princess
Off to the paid stuff today so flying will be minimal at home, though I need to fly there, as it happens.

Oh my goodness - some very early flyladies today - what are you doing posting at 2am ladies? There should only be one 2 o'clock in a day.Well I've just attended an SEN fair and spoke to both sencos from my DSs schools as well as a couple of other helpful SEN organisations. Think I'm going to have to print out the forms to go down the Right to Choose route for them both as the CAMHS routes are taking so long due to backlogs of people waiting to be diagnosed. We've already waited 4 years for DS1 (still only at the stage where we know he'll be assessed), and I don't want to have to wait that long for DS2 as well (not even heard back about assessment for him yet). Trouble is our GP is an absolute nightmare to get appointments at too (even if you're needing urgent treatment you get fobbed off to A&E or 111), so I'm dreading this battle too.Connections completed, and wordle in 5 today.Coffee consumed and one washload in the machine. Need to put another one away too. Feels much nicere now my desk is clearer today after yesterday's unplanned flying in here. I'm hoping my motivation continues today too. I'm thinking it may be an idea to wrap a few Christmas presents today as well whilst the house is empty as I always have a habit of leaving them until the last minute and it becomes stressful.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20177

Thanks for all your kind comments and GWS wishes. I think this shoulder is going to take some time to heal, if it ever does. I am so glad that I had already started planning simple Christmas celebrations this year.
Welcome, Princess! Edit as much as you like - some of us work almost all the time from a completely different "to do" list and generally get away with it [ducks to avoid mules lobbed from Valli and Natty's parts of the world]
So far today I have
- contacted my DC via WA. We have a date for the family Christmas get-together and agreed on menus: finger buffet lunch, coffee and cake, and chippy tea. Too many carbs, you say? Naaaaa
- cancelled lunch out with friends on Wednesday, because of the expected hospital call (and one-handed I'm a messy eater); coffee and cake instead next week, hopefully
- cancelled a visit to my DN on Thursday as I can't drive myself to her place, DH cant take me because he's booked in with the chiropodist, and it takes too long to get there by public transport
- rung my friend P (who had the op recently) and chatted for 35min
- eaten breakfast and loaded the DW
- started off our evening stew in the SC
- wiped down the sides
- PUPA in the LR
- given DR a list (just 2 items - buy milk, and take the big Christmas tree to the CS)
- given Rosie a fuss
- refilled Rosie's mini-bone biscuit pot.
I hope you spotted the flying in that lot

Hello all. Lots of flying in there Iona.
Today in a break from my normal Tuesday routine I have changed sofa throws, changed bedding, hoovered through, walked Poppet, taken book back to library and .......drumroll please........DH and I have been out and completed our Christmas present shopping.
Just about to put second wash load on airer.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
well I can't fly here as there's a worker in the co-work space and a meeting in the cafe. So I am filing. This means actually getting up from my chair...
I've got a three layer 'in' tray. Each level is rammed. If, by the end of the day I have properly cleared one layer that will be excellent.

Sexymouse - I didn't really intend to post so late - I was just getting all my bits together for the broker and thought I'd bite the bullet and get stuck in!
ionafan - I'm so glad we can edit the main list then! I have lots of things to do which I'm sure won't be on most people's lists because of moving!
Valli - Hallo!
As for flying, I did some things very successfully and some things not at all.
The mortgage was a bust. They were an offer with our estate agent to see if we could do anything better than our current broker. Thought we'd give them a whirl and then... well... we told them we needed a longer life mortgage where it goes beyond 75 (I'm buying with my mum, I'm in my 30s but she's 59), and then they turned around and said, "Oh, so the high st doesn't do that." Well, yeah. That's why we were directed to a broker - someone who specialises in non-conventional products. We told them that in the beginning. So wasted an hour talking to someone who can't do anything with the kind of mortgage product we need.
Apart form that, did have some successes with around the house, and felt quite proud of myself. Will edit with the new list later but I'm clocking off of Flying to go and write some of my novel and play some Sims.
Tuesday - Lovely Living Rooms and Safe Stairs
Level One
Vacuum floors in these areas, even if around clutter. Success!
Extras -Cleaned the window in the living room and did all around it on the UPVC so it looks nice now and not like the dog just rubbed his nose over everything. Success!
Did reloaded and emptied the dishwasher. Success!
Emptied and reset all the bins. Success!
Had the mortgage conversation. Success!

Far too long in WAC last night, read for ages to take my mind off stressing about selling Mum's house. Consequently didn't get up in enough time for the usual gym swim.
- went to dentist and hygienist.
- one load washing done, hung out, brought in and put away.
- curtains re-hung in 2 of the kitchen windows.
- looked up a replacement sideboard as ours is a bit scruffy now (only veneer/MDF). May be able to use part of the old one elsewhere. Note made that if we get a new one, we won't spoil the top by watering large plants on it!
- looked through details of Mum's house, sent by estate agent for checking.
- quite a bit of admin done
- Mr N painted another part of kitchen wall plus some ceiling
- made a chicken risotto which will do for tomorrow as well.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6
