Well I cleaned down the fronts of the appliances and one of the windows. All worktops etc were already clean.Then after that, I swallowed a frog and cleaned my desk, which involved a lot of paper recycling, sorting and shredding and then dusting everything. I've also decluttered quite a few emails and done a few prolific studies to bring in some pennies.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20177

Evening all.
Well, my day did not go as planned, and it looks as if my whole week is scuppered. My arthritic right shoulder has somehow dislocated itself several times since the middle of last week, including 3 times before breakfast today, and although I could manipulate the arm and get it back in place, this was too frequent and quite painful. I rang the surgery to get a GP appointment, but was sent instead to Urgent Care at the horse piddle. DH insisted on driving me there (shudder!) and sent an apology for not attending a lunchtime meeting he should have gone to "because you always stay with me for hours when I have to go to hospital." We were there from before 10.30 and didn't get home until after 4pm. My arm is in a sling and someone from the fracture clinic will phone me on Wednesday morning to give me further instructions, although there is no sign of a fracture on my x-ray. I'm now waiting for DS1 to ring me back, as I am supposed to be picking up DGD1+2 from their school, feeding them, and then taking them to his school for swimming on Wednesdays for the next 6 weeks - there aren't any suitable buses, and I'm not sure that DS1 will want DH to do the school run as he knows what his driving is like! And on Thursday I was supposed to be going to my DNiece's for coffee in her new flat, a 2-hr journey by bus (though only 25min by car). Hey-ho, that's life.
On the plus side...
- I have read several chapters of the book that DD lent me months back;
- I can do most things left-handed now, including mouse clicks and typing;
- we didn't leave home this morning until after I had sent out the FSS messages and taken the Dy$on for a quick spin (left-hand drive, of course) all through downstairs, so I have actually flown this week
- L took Rosie for her walk today as usual.
Off to cook risotto now. My arm might have to escape the confines of the sling long enough to chop a small onion. And some silly person has just let off a load of fireworks. Grrr!!!! Rosie is not happy!

Oh no! That sounds really painful iona - I hope that the fracture clinic manage to come up with a plan and the pain eases soon. I hope the family manage to work out how to manage without you driving etc too. x

*ouch* Ionafan. What a nuisance for you. I hope they find the cause and can treat the shoulder so it becomes more stable very soon. Thank you for sorting the FSS before you succumbed. True valour. For what it's worth, Morribunds and probably the other supermarkets do a ready chopped frozen onion which if you have to immobilise the shoulder would be useful.Managed to clear some paperwork from my desk after a week of trying to get some of it done. All progress is good progress, even if it's only one tadpole at a time.Better is good enough.5

Evening all. I haven't been on for a while as my laptop, which was very old, was runing sooooooo slowly that I couldn't face using it. My desktop is ok but it's in the RoD and I don't like sitting in there using it for any length of time. I've been up and running with a new laptop for a while but had got out of the habit of posting. Anyway, I'm back now. I haven't been able to catch up with several weeks' worth of posts so I hope everyone has been ok. I see, Ionafan that you aren't though. I hope you can get your shoulder sorted out soon.This morning I had an S&S in the bathroom and a vac around. The priest from a church I used to go to came for lunch. I made a beef casserole and was going to make an apple crumble but realised that I wasn't going to have time and as I had to to go out and get a couple of things I bought a Charlie Bigham's cherry bakewell pudding, which was very nice indeed, although it wasn't a nice price! I also stripped the bed and washed and dried the bedding and put fresh on and prepared some laundry for I Hate Ironing. I've washed up the supper things and now just need to put out A's breakfast things and his meds for tomorrow.6

sexymouse said:Morning all,Just caught up on last week's thread - thanks for this week's Natty. So pleased to see that the wedding went well Round. Sorry to hear that DD is in hospital Fayolle - I hope she's feeling better very soon.
Back home to chaos as we'd started the kitchen re-vamp before we went. This week plans to be busy with pond clearing gang, dentist, church group, lunch and being shown around my new workplace, new cooker being connected not to mention the usual gym stuff, flying etc. And the emotional part of the week will be that, over the weekend, DB has organised 2 estate agents to value Mum's house, so that will be on the market this week i.e. house clearing will be imminent.
Today:
- got up early in preparation for pond clearing gang; got a phone call 7.50 to say they had a staff member off sick so have postponed it for a week.
- zumba x 2
- dropped off Christmas card and letter to the charity organiser with whom we sponsor an Indian girl as they will be going to India next week and can pass it on.
- continued removing spent tomato plants/aubergine plants from the greenhouse to make room for any pot plants which will need to come inside soon.
- helped Mr N with various stuff in the kitchen. The 'cooker wall' is now painted so he's put back up the plate rack, wooden spoon rack etc so I've followed behind him replacing the plates which were sitting on the 'garage wall'. He's also painted the 'window wall' so I washed the curtain rings and the clean curtains can go back up tomorrow. We've moved the microwave from the garage side to the window side and are still planning the 'coffee bar' on the garage side.
- just about keeping on top of all the communication coming from DB and estate agents. Dug out some photos of Mum's garden in summer as estate agent will be taking photos tomorrow but clearly it won't be very colourful.

funeral was very well attended, and the deceased was 89 so that speaks volumes. It was a Quaker funeral so very ‘different’.
Back too late to go swimming so I ate lunch then changed into my scruffs, and moved the ‘active’ compost bin… I could have made Mrs Twits wormy spaghetti for days! And I cleaned the hutches. Two washloads line dried.
Nice to see you back CoG. Ouch to the shoulder Ionafan.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
