Have a look at this site folks https://www.abroadtel.co.uk by using there indirect dial no 0844 452 0005 you can phone any uk mobile from a landline for just 5p a minute.Which is 50% cheaper then 1899 !!!
(https://www.call 18866 is still cheaper at the weekends at only at 3p a minute.)
First you dial the 0844 access no, then you dial the uk mobile no, you must enter the full uk intl access code 0044 knocking off the first O of the number eg for 07xxx123456 , you would dial 00447xxx123456. After doing this press star to be connected.
Disadvantage is apart from the fact its a little complicated,if the mobile you are calling is unavailable you will still pay the min charge of 5p.
However you could always put the number string in your phone memory to save time.

They are obviously making the money on some of the calls to landlines, 13p a minute to a NZ landline :eek:0

I think your find thats an error and that they have got the fig,s for NZ landline and NZ mobile transposed eg should be Landline 0844 access 1p. Mobile 0911 access 13p.(It thats correct it would put them joint top of cheapest landline calls to NZ, and cheapest supplier of calls to NZ mobiles,as far as we know would it not.)
They are very competitive but they are not the cheapest to every destination, but there UK Landline to mobile 5p rate will take some beating. :TPF.0 -
Is it possible to use the code in a dial string using the Orchid Dialler? Sounds like a great deal too.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Haha, included minutes calls to mobiles on my old O2 contract (2p weekends when the minutes are gone). Thanks0

Good question, and I'm going to have a play around with this one because it'll save a fair wodge of cash.
One thing that immediately springs to mind is to miss the leading zero off the number, and program the Orchid that way, although that would cause issues with local numbers.0 -
Seems to be broken at present, will try again later0

It works; you just have to wait a few seconds to connect
I wouldn't be surprised if this is a promotional offer, and the rate will go up to an 0871 number later, as it seems too cheap
still, while the sun shines ......0 -
It's working OK actually, but it doesn't seem to accept Three mobile numbers (comes up engaged all the time). Voda and Orange are fine, have not had chance to check O2 and T-Mobile yet, anyone had any joy?
Irritating. Still, the only Three mobile the household ever phones is mine, so no huge issue, I'll just log my number as an exception.0 -
even more surprising, they cut a couple of prices since last night
but some went up.
Belgian and German mobiles were 9p and 13p I think; now 12p and 10p (unless I'm remembering back-to-front). The stunning one is French mobile at 4p0 -
3 was engaged for me too. I suppose if 3 termination charges are higher, it's understandable. I only called my Orange from O2 at the moment.0
