Morning all
BIL has gone home, so am catching up on flying. Weekend plan is bedrooms, some general tidying, the usual S&S and a bit off the back of the current MAD project....
Strip beds, dust & vacuum (won't take as long thanks to regular flyladying) vacuum matresses & headboard, clean bedding on
S&S d/w, w/m, t/d if needed
Put laundry away
2x cupboards from D&D

Cooked mince pies, which I've just taste tested - very nice, then there was a power cut which started all the alarms in the village, frightening Poppet who then refused to walk. And it started raining. So I've listed some bits on v1nted. It's dry again now so I'll attempt to take Poppet out again.Spend less now, work less later.6

Oh Round hope you have the most amazing day, you so deserve it!
DH and DS both had a day off yesterday so I took some lieu hours and we had a lovely walk on the coast followed by an early tea in Spoons. Mind you I was thinking about work most of the day.
It's Mils 80th birthday today so 20 of the family are out for tea. I want to get DS and GF a small engagement gift before I see them later so I am going to pop down to the gift shop in town to get a little something.
I have dusted upstairs, rehomed various bits of gibble and generally made things more presentable. I am working my way downstairs. My office is a mess, it needs a proper sort out. Not sure I am in the mood for that today.
Hope things are improving with DD Fayolle, love to you both xx6 -
@ Round ...Have a great day !Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out.Thats what I keep telling myself :-)6

Eventually got out with Poppet and we both got wet. Can't think that I've done any flying. I've been doing puzzles, had a long soak in bath and we are now snuggling down ready for next lot of fireworks. Neighbour is planning some at seven so at least we're prepared.
Probably won't do much tomorrow either. I'll observe the two minute silence then we're going to DGD2s birthday party.Spend less now, work less later.5 -
Fayolle, I'm so sorry to hear that your DD has been back in horse piddle. Gentle (((hugs))) and good wishes to you all xxx
Round, I hope you've had (probably are still having) a lovely day xxx
After a busy day of socialising, I did very little yesterday evening until about 10pm. At that point I sat down at my computer and found myself trying to discover what happened to my gt-gt-gt-uncle's widow Henrietta after his death in 1856 so that I could close off that branch of my family history research. I finally got to bed at 5.00 this morning!!! Henrietta's story turned out to be fascinating: it involves both Florence Nightingale and Isambard Kingdom Brunel, so of course I was well and truly hooked!
Flying today has consisted of cleaning the shower and filling the DW. It's better than nothing.
A quick reminder:This Sunday is the last day to sign up for the FLYLADY SECRET SANTAPlease PM me if you want to join in and haven't already let me know.
See you on the new thread xxx5 -
Morning everyone xx
Thank you for all your best wishes for yesterday 😘
It was the bestest day ever. I'm still buzzing. Don't think I've slept a wink. No flying done as I'm in a hotel room! Booked yesterday after the day do and before the night do. Nothing last minute about me 🤣
Surprisingly I'm not hungover. Despite the best efforts of my Sil and niece lol. I rarely drink - hence the original plan was to drive home after the do. But yesterday I supped: prosecco, white wine, cider, rose wine, Baileys, and had my first ever shot. Sourz. Very nice. And it's just occurred to me that I didn't spend a penny on alcohol, lots of pennies spent booking a room though. Obvs. Drinks just kept appearing in front of me. So I drank them. Don't usually drink wine at all.
And I have blisters from my sparkly shoes or could it be from the sandals that I changed into so that I could dance without breaking my ankle. And boy did I dance. For the first time in a very long time I was able to get on the dance floor and stay a while. Amazing what losing weight does for dance stamina.
I'm going to get dressed and have a brew.

Morning all. Glad you had a brilliant day Round. Sounds fantastic.
Didnt get wordle today but completed connections with no lives lost. I may have to do some flying before the party as I've just remembered a change of plan to usual Monday routine and we're having visitors.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.5 -
Morning
Aww how lovely Round glad you had a amazing time.
We had a family meal out last night which was nice. I am in charge of a Remembrance Day parade and service later so I am a bit jittery, was wide awake at 3am, not helped by our 1 year old NDR screaming for what seemed like a very long time!
DS2 is here so will need a lift to the station at some point.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone xx5
