    Hi,

Gladstones Solicitors website just reloads the page after submitting the details, so I was unable to complete the registration on their portal.

Will it be sufficient to email enquiries@gladstonessolicitors.co.uk instead?

And email UKCPM at info@uk-cpm.com for the other PCN?

No. This is the communication that will kill the claim idea dead. It's REALLY IMPORTANT.

THIS IS VITAL TO ENSURE IT IS RECEIVED.

You can't just send a random email to info@ like UEFA did last season to Crystal Palace, and it went into a black hole along with their Europa League place LOL!!

Anyway enough of the Crystal Palace jokes from me (couldn't resist).

Email it also to their DPO email addresses.

AND post first class with printed evidence of the move/VISA. Send it by email and post.

It's making me very nervous to say some of the wording. I don't know if legally staying with family abroad for a few months, with me coming back every 2-3months, can be categorised as moving.

My first flight to Mumbai was in May 2025. This is a return ticket for October 2025. I plan to use the ticket if I'm allowed to travel at that time.

I bought a new return ticket, which I'm travelling on at the moment.

    Departure Mumbai to London: 19/07/2025

    Return London to Mumbai: 09/08/2025

I can provide this e-ticket as proof of travel.

I'm back in the country right now, so getting nervous about calling it a move abroad. How would a letter being posted from the UK look if I'm stating that I'm living in Mumbai? I've removed some of the wording around being outside the jurisdiction of the English court because I don't know about that if I'm back again in October for 3 weeks. Please let me know.

    Draft below:

    Gladstones Solicitors Limited

    Unit B, 1st Floor

    31st July 2025

    Dear Sirs

    Reference number: [Redacted]

    Parking Charge Number: [Redacted]

    Vehicle registration number: [Redacted]

    Date of charge: 21/10/2024

I am writing to inform you that the address which you currently hold, <UK address>, is no longer an address at which I can be reached.

I’m living with family at the following address: <India address> and will be living in India for the foreseeable future. Attached to this letter is a copy of my Overseas Citizen of India Card showing a valid visa and my return ticket showing departure from London to Mumbai on 09/08/2025.

Therefore, you must immediately communicate this to your clients and erase the old address, mentioned above, as that address may no longer be used for a court claim.

If you fail to return the file to your clients, I will report your firm and its Principal Solicitor to the SRA for their apparent failures to meet professional standards.

    Yours faithfully,

    [Name Redacted]

Send it to both solicitors re your cases NOW. Your visits back to the UK are only visits back. For the foreseeable future you are based in Mumbai and have a VISA and an address there for service where you can be reached.

    Do it.

    Hi,

I received a response from Gladstones Solicitors on 11/08/2025

I have received a second email on 29/08/2025

I need another 7-10 days to get a new bank statement issued with the Indian address. Will a bank statement be sufficient? I don't have utility bills in my name because they are in my sister's or her husband's name. Please suggest how to respond.

    Thank you

Send a signed & dated witness statement from the householder confirming you are permanently living there, and they should give you a photo of a utility bill to prove who they are and that the address is real. Send ALL of that, this week by email or on G's portal and tell Gladstones you are also obtaining a paper bank statement which should arrive within 2 weeks which you will also forward.

Tell them if they issue a claim to the old UK address you will immediately report Gladstones to the CSA, the ICO and the SRA.

Always end your emails 'yours faithfully' then your name. We assume you know that? No 'kind regards' as people keep doing! This is a solicitor firm. Dear Sirs/yours faithfully.
