Yes I mean putting letters unopened back in the post is EXTREMELY inadvisable.

  • Hello,

    Another update.

I ignored the Gladstone letters which were sent last year, I have now been sent two letters from DCBL.

First one is "NOTICE OF DEBT RECOVERY" dated 30th July 25, usual 14 days to pay or subject to High Court action etc.

Second one is "FINAL REMINDER" dated 25th August 25, immediate payment to avoid court action.

I have made no admission of who the driver was (wasn't me), I am in Scotland so I assume still no liability as keeper.

I guess I should just ignore these as other posts suggest?

Related to this, I am selling the car in the near future, should I inform Horizon Parking of this when I sell the car, or just say nothing?

Ignore the powerless debt collectors letters

No need to update Horizon about anything, except your new address if you move

Good, you're now on the DCB Legal conveyor belt.

Ignore everything and then when the court claim lands you'll be on the "discontinue track".

    There won't be a claim. It's Scotland.

    Nothing happens.

    🙂

    P. S. The law will change next year sometime in Scotland, so you will get keeper liability but you'll also get proper industry scrutiny and a statutory Code of Practice. Same across the UK. Obviously not retrospective.

DRP and all the dodgy legals know about Scotland

The Kray twins of the sham parking industry without guns or knives ….. just money scammers

  • Thanks for the advice. I shall ignore them
