Debt Recovery Plus and Horizon Parking: Scary Letter

Hello,
Advice needed.
I have received these letters from Debt Recovery Plus and Horizon Parking due to an apparent breach of rules at an Iceland store, the V5 address was incorrect so only recently aware of them.
I am not sure if the NTK letter(s) were received (or maybe thrown away). Regardless, I do not have the NTK but reading the forum, the Horizon Parking NTK from that time are non-compliant so should I chance appeal via the website on that basis? If so, I have seen it mentioned the rules in Scotland are different so what should I say/not say for an appeal in Scotland?
Is it still worth appealing to the store then Horizon and ignoring DRP?
Or should I just tell DRP that I haven't responded due to incorrect V5 information and to go away?
Templates or examples of recent successes would be most appreciated.

Please don't show us any more letters they are all have been seen before
You can delete the letters
They are not scary. They are harmless3 -
Read the Newbies/FAQ thread. We do not need to see useless DRA letters. Ignore them. They are powerless and you can safely use them as kindling. Never, ever, ever, EVER communicate with a useless debt collector.
It is way too late now to appeal anything. Come back if/when you receive a Letter of Claim (LoC). A further brush up on the Newbies/FAQ thread, second post will answer all your questions.4 -
You're right Scotland is different tells you in NEWBIES thread. No keeper liability in Scotland Horizon can only hold driver liable for the alleged breach. Search forum for PCN Scotland posts.
And you must update your V5C address online with DVLA.5 -
Thanks. I will ignore until LoC arrives. V5 already updated with DVLA. How do I know they have sent LoC if I don't give them current address? Or is that just more work them going back to DVLA to get new details and start process again?2

you wont get a letter of claim.4

Now I'm not sure if you need to notify Parking company with you residing in Scotland. The expert posters would be best to advise.
They can't go back to DVLA they can only request keeper details once. Debt agencies do a trace to find your address.2 -

But do give them your correct address.Or is that just more work them going back to DVLA to get new details and start process again?Impossible. Not allowed. But you must tell them (Horizon and DR Plus) your correct address and point out you stay in Scotland so stop threatening county court because this is lies and harassment.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the response and clearing up that I CAN'T (rather than won't) get an LoC while in Scotland. If it had come to correct address I would have appealed etc as per the Newbie guides and told them where to go.The guide wasn't clear what I should do as it is advising to ignore debt collectors unless they track to a new address (so they only have one on file).Just wanted to make sure that there wasnt possibility if court action against me without knowing it.I will contact them to advise of updated details and to leave me alone.I presume that, as per your guidance, I should do this via email rather than phone or letter?0

Email ideally, in writing definitely, by post ? Only if they are not contactable by email
Definitely no phoning anyone2 -
Email a Data Rectification Notice to Data Protection Officer. INSTRUCT them to ERASE your old address and replace it with your current address for service. Find DPO email in privacy policy on Horizon/DRP website. This thread is not about Horizon but the posts give some detail on Scotland's court system and will give you idea on the number of debt letters you may receive.Avoid raking up numerous pcns in Iceland (or anywhere else) PPCs' will try court in Scotland for multiple pcns as this article shows. And lastly be aware that keeper liability will be brought into Scotland in line with England and Wales...maybe 2025. 😠3
