Given it is a chip & pin, that means your card was used.
So either someone has access & used the card. Or you used the card somewhere for that amount. Could be someone has not updated terminal details.

No one clones a chip & pin card, if they could Then it would be used at a atm or a retailer for far more.

I was thinking the same thing. 

If chip & pin was used then there may be a bigger issue than just card being used.

Hi, Thanks for all replies...would you believe it.."ISLINGTON PENTONEV" is the sainsburys in islington.
I had an actual "sainsburys" transaction on that day which had been brought forward from the day before...so i was caught out........its ok...panic over.

Strange though because all other sainsburys stores show up as "sainsburys" on the bank statement.

I rang up lloyds and they went through it all with me bit by bit...and told me it couldnt be fraud as it was chip and pin, and nobody would hack that for just a few quid.

I don't think so, because I've used that Sainsburys and it shows on my statement as 'Sainsburys Sheffield GB'.

If we buy groceries from our local Co-op by card the transaction detail always says Co-op Funeral Services. I sometimes wonder if it's a warning.
