Samsung broke my Z Fold 4 and charged me to fix their vandalism

Judging by many posts in other forums, some Samsung phones get broken after Samsung updating their One UI interface software.
Last week a One UI 6.1.1 update led to WiFi and Bluetooth not working on my Z Fold 4.
I explained the problem to Samsung, I was told that they were extending my warranty by 90 days, it expired on August 22nd and that I should return the phone for a repair.
I was feeling positive at that point.
Yesterday I was told that I would have to pay £524 for a repair.
When Samsung make a repair, they don't just fix the reported issue, they fix everything that they decide is wrong with the phone.
Apart from the broken comms, I was 100% happy with the phone.
They discovered an issue where the phone wouldn't completely open, not a problem for me and not something that I needed or even wanted fixing.
Somehow debris had gotten into the razor blade thin hinge gap - I'd removed as much as I could, but clearly there's still stuff in there.
They also told me that there were punctures on the inner screen.
I could not see them at all, they must have used a magnifier to see the punctures - they said that the screen damage meant that pixels were broken - I did not detect any broken pixels.
To be clear the screen "protector" showed no signs of any damage.
Evidently I must have closed the phone when there was one or more small particles of ? on the inner screen, closing the phone forced the particles through the screen "protector", damaging the screen - the soft sp is somewhat self healing.
At no time did I close my phone knowing that there was stuff on the screen.
So basically the state of the hinge and screen comes under customer damage - I argued that it was poor design.
So Samsung take no responsibility for the damage caused by their software updates.
They go out of their way to find even the tiniest sign of damage - I argue that I used the phone appropriately and with the poor design it is inevitable that some damage will occur, we used to call that wear and tear - my usage did not break the WiFi and Bluetooth.
If Samsung had not broken the phone with their software update, I would have been blissfully unaware and unconcerned by the "issues".
As Isaac Butterfield might nearly say:
Samsung, "fly" you to the moon.
In conclusion: never fold a folding phone; keep it an airtight bag at all times and never permit a software update - alternatively, don't purchase Samsung.
