I also forgot to say it was advertised as free and not a price.0

That would definitely have been worth clarifying before now! It does sound unusual - is the advert still accessible, either on the original site, or in archives, or a screenshot? What was in it for the retailer if they were giving the stuff away?johnbuchanan90 said:I also forgot to say it was advertised as free and not a price.0 -
You said it was advertised as £0, not ‘free’.
It is possible that was a misprintHi I purchased some flooring online at a price of £0.0 -
Define "advertised as free".johnbuchanan90 said:I also forgot to say it was advertised as free and not a price.
Do you mean, as you earlier said, it was shown with a price of £0
Or did they use the specific word "free" (in an unambiguous context).0 -
Sorry, for the misinformation. On the site it said FREE instead of any price, when added to basket it said price due £0.0
-
On the site it is now £18. I don't have any screenshot of it just the confirmation email and on that it has £0.0

When something is advertised as "FREE" it usually has some qualifying action required to be eligible for the "FREE" product.johnbuchanan90 said:Sorry, for the misinformation. On the site it said FREE instead of any price, when added to basket it said price due £0.
For example "FREE" pack of C90 cassette tapes when purchasing a Binatone radio cassette recorder.0 -
That's quite different then - as it is unlikely they accidentally put in the word "FREE" instead oft he actual proce.johnbuchanan90 said:Sorry, for the misinformation. On the site it said FREE instead of any price, when added to basket it said price due £0.
However, as Grumpy_chap states, there was likely a condition on the free-ness (flooring shops don't generally just give away flooring for free) - do you know what the conditions were, and did you meet them?1 -

I'm not exactly sure what difference this would make though, as it's an obvious mistake.

Some do, although it tens to be samples. Rather than boxes of them.Ergates said:
