N1SDT Claim Form Received from DCB Legal

  • Thanks, if you're not used to using this forum it is a bit overwhelming to navigate as there's so much info.  I'm getting used to it now, but I didn't think of ever searching for a sentence before from one of the letters,  I know for next time :D
  • I've received a Directions Questionanaire, but on another interesting note.  Before that arrived, I had ANOTHER letter from DCB legal about another parking fine back in 2020 from a totally different car park.  I thought that had gone away as it was years ago, but they are clearly desperate for money, and trying to get revenge no doubt because I'm not paying the other one.  And it's very tactical, sending out these letters a few weeks before xmas. Devious scumbags!

They all do this more just before Xmas.  Standard scammery from the parking industry.

The Limitations Act 1980 sets the deadline as 6 years in England and Wales, so nowhere near the deadline yet
  • Wow really, so they can chase a parking fine for up to 6 years?!! What a joke, that is ridiculous!!

Please can I doiuble check, on the N180 form: Is the answer to the below, definitely your local court?  I've scoured this site and it says to put in your local court.  However quesion E1, states a 'person' who will be attending the appointment?

E1 What is the name and contact details of the person who will be
    attending your mediation appointment?

Do I just put 'Coventry Court' in for the above, or the name of an actual person?

    Thankssss

  • Not sure if the form has changed again in the meantime maybe?  F1 is now asking for the name of court.

    Check it using courtfinder

Ensure that you are following the N180 advice in the newbies FAQ sticky thread,  plus the 12 steps too

Mediation is now compulsory,  so study that advice too

But anyone can. You could sue me for 6 years.  That's English law. This isn't parking related.

Re Mediation: You can take the three minute waste of time Mediation call or you can nominate another person.  I'm dying to do one but can't take a case off-forum!
