N1SDT Claim Form Received from DCB Legal

No-one who comes here with a UKPC claim issued by DCB Legal pays a penny. Only fools and their money who are low-hanging fruit on the gullible tree pay one of these useless claims.
With an issue dat of 10th October, you have until Tuesday 29th to submit your Acknowledgement of Service (AoS). The second post in the Newbies/FAQ thread tells you how to do that.
There is no advantage to relying the AoS. Once you have completed the AoS you then have until 4pm on Tuesday 12th November to submit your defence. Again, the Newbies/FAQ and the Template defence threads explain how to do all this.
Follow the advice and you can bet that this will end as a discontinuance early next year. I remind you, no one here pays UKPC.3 -
Follow the advice and you can bet that this will end as a discontinuance early next year. I remind you, no one here pays UKPC.Read the first few opening posts of the following thread, then some random posts involving UKPC (there's dozens upon dozens!) to discover how this will pan out ... if you follow all the court procedural requirements. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks for your quick replies! I'm on it now and following the newbie thread instructions. It is quite a lot to take in when you're going through it all for the firs time. I can see why people would get scared and take the easy option to pay! Please can you give me some help if I get stuck along the way :#Thanks SO much!

Yes we help at defence, witness statement and hearing stages but you won't have a hearing.

Thanks. I have submitted the AoS, is there a reason I can't submit the defence online too? The instructions say to send an email to ClaimResponses.CNBC@justice.gov.ukOr sould I do both? Thanks

Nope. Not both.
Please read the NEWBIES thread second post which explains it in bargepole's linked thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks, I've been going through and reading lots of threads, so much info! ThanksI'm just writing the defence statement, but not sure how to start.Because my van was incorrectly parked according to them. How should I phrase it, do I just talk about the length of the van being too long for the space? Or admit i wasn't aware of the front end overhanging, and say their spaces are too small? Or something else completeley different?? Thanks0

I would just confirm you paid the correct amount and you parked in an allocated bay correctly at the time as far as you were aware. The lines are open ended, so there is no boundary front and rear. You parked within the marked lines.
The onus is on them to make any restrictions clear. Were the bays boxes with 4 lines? I bet not.3 -
Yes they actually did have 4 box lines to be fair, and I was in both sides. It was just overhanging at the front. Which just seems petty to me, as it was in a quiet area of the car park, so not exactly blocking anything or in anyones way.

This is what I've come up with so far, is this enough? Or should I add more.... Thanks!
3. The defendant paid the correct parking fee and parked in an allocated bay to the best of their knowledge.
3a. As the defendant was driving a longer than normal commercial vehicle, the length of the allocated space was not sufficient to completely contain the entire length of the vehicle.
3b. As the defendant had made an effort to drive up several levels to a quieter section of the car park, the car park was half empty, and the vehicle was not causing an obstruction or safety concern.
3c. The defendant’s vehicle was carrying animals in the back section, and the defendant needed access to the back doors, in order to remove them safely from the vehicle.
3d. There are no sufficient size spaces for commercial vehicles in this particular car park.
