just had a secure message from ii.....

A new Key Investor Document (KID) is available for your investment(s) in HSBC FTSE All-World Index C Acc (Instrument Reference: xxxxxxx) (i changed the number to xxxxx in case its confidential)

To view the new Key Investor Document please go to our website, ii.co.uk and search for the relevant holding to view the document.

i cant find a document anywhere, and no idea of its relevance.  im guessing it will relate to my DD to invest more in my fund, but not sure.

could anyone advise please?  do i need to do anything before the investment can be made?

    thanks

A KID is a document about the fund - it is not specific to you. Did you get into the details of the previous version - if not then there is likely no need to do that with the new version. You don't need to do anything.

made the mistake of looking at my pot, its down nearly £20,000 since february when i transferred it :-(

i assume that this is the 'trump effect' and we're all in the same boat, just having to ride it out yes?

think i'll give it another year before looking again! :D

Yes - most people have been impacted by Trump's actions. It will recover over time

well i logged back in with trepidation, fearing the worst, but it seems to have bounced back which was reassuring.

however, its made me realise that ive missed a trick by 'just putting the money in and forgetting about it', and that i maybe should keep more of an eye on it.
i seem to have amassed over £3000 in a cash balance, made up from £3000 tax relief (from my £12,000 deposit), 'gross interest' and 'basic rate tax relief (£25 following each £100 DD contribution).

so yes ive been investing my £100 DD's automaticaally, but everything else is just staying there in cash.

so the question is...... whats the easiest way of chucking this in the fund?  do it manually every now and then?  or is there something i can set up to invest any balance every now and then?

    thank you

I don't have any ii investments, but yes I log into my pensions and SSISA every couple of months and, if there's a significant cash balance, buy something with it.

Are you still with HL? (Sorry I only read the beginning and end of this thread.)

If you are then you can either manually use your cash to buy whatever investments you want to, or you can set it up to choose what investment(s) your regular DDs will go into. If you want to manually add to a fund you are already invested in, find the line for it in your portfolio. In the web app, click on the green arrow to deal; in the mobile app, swipe from the right and click on the green Deal button.
