  • Do you know what I mean by a claim form?

It sounds very much like you are talking about something else. You didn't receive and ignore three Claim Forms, surely?

I don't think you did get claim forms.

I think your son got one (ignored a court Claim Form) and I think this is your son's CCJ. If he permanently lives abroad it won't affect him. This is about his car, I reckon.

Then DCB has seen the family connection and mistraced you, thinking you are the Defendant (your son). Hence they are writing to you instead of the London address because his financial trail has ended in the UK. So they grabbed the straws of your trail instead.

They've jumped to bothering you, in error, because you share a name and older address/area connections.

You must make that phone call to the CNBC. There is a CCJ in a name matching you and the way to work it out is to see the VRM on the Particulars of Claim. I reckon this is about your son's car and you'll see that I'm right.

You will find out this is your son's CCJ and then you can tell DCB Ltd he lives in the USA and you are not the Defendant so they must cease and desist with using your data.

Or, totally ignore them but they are not lying about the CCJ to someone with your name.

However, as it is under £600, no bailiffs will call. Nothing will happen. Unless your name is very common and it is a stranger's car on the Particulars of Claim, I am 99% sure your son has a CCJ but no worries, as long as he isn't planning on needing credit / buying a UK home within 6 years.
I understand most of what your saying and thanks for that. It was definitely my car. I did get the original parking charge letter but only once and chose to ignore it after reading the first initial posts in this thread. My son at the time of the original letter didn't even drive. He's now married and permanently lives stateside. During all this time neither of us have received a  claim form. You say claim form relating to something from the courts t regarding the CCJ right?

The N1SDT claim form would have been sent to you as keeper of a vehicle that received a PCN that wasn't paid, which is normally followed by several debt collector letters and a letter before/of claim.  If you didn't receive the claim form (for whatever reason) and reply, the claimant would have been able to invoke a judgment for claimant in default.  You would then have received that judgment.  It is hard to believe that you didn't receive the debt recovery letters, a letter before claim, a claim form AND a judgment.  Clearly you need to call CNBC and find out the vehicle concerned.

    Let us know.

Please don't just ask for the VRM (I listed exactly what you need to ask the CNBC).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
