PCN with photo of a car with reg similar to mine

Hi I have been issued with a PCN for Atlip Centre in Wembley, I live in South Wales - never been to this place, and was there on 4th October as their evidence states.
The PCN has a picture of a car - the photos show a car driving down a road - front and back and both clearly show that is the same make and model as mine BUT the registration on the photo is one character out it shows an N whilst mine ends in an M.
It states that they identified me via DVLA and I have 14 days to pay a reduced rate.
They have made a mistake but
1) If they did a DVLA check how did they get my details?
2) Do I need to advise them they have made a mistake?

2) Do I need to advise them they have made a mistake? They won't care about any mistake, ANPR systems/cameras are extremely error-prone and these work in the favour of the parking companies who just want your money. The DVLA just hand over your personal data on a plate to pakring companies that belong to either the BPA or the IPC , these are private trade associations that make up their own rules to help their members ( ie the parking companies) make moneyDoes the pairing charge notice clearly show the registration plate as an M instead of an N?You need to tell the parking company that they must cancel the parking charge notice and they have accessed your personal details without just cause as a result of their defective systems in not checking their data is accurate and fit for purposeto whom it may concern, re parking charge notice ### issued to vehicle registration XXXXXThe vehicle in your so called evidence has a registration number of YXXXX and you have accessed my personal details in breach of the relevant GDPR legislation, namely that of accuracy of data - as the vehicle as not and has never been anywhere near the site in question. To prevent nay further action being taken against you, you must rectify your data - take this as a data rectification notice, and cancel this parking charge with immediate effectI look forward to a positive response from you as well as a full and un redacted apology over your sloppy behaviour, as well as assurances that this unacceptable behaviour will not happen again. If they reject your "appeal" then go to town on the site owner - they are jointly liable for the actions of their agents, and should know better than to allow an un regulated parking company to operate on their land on their behalf. a google search points back to this site here:

That's amazing thank you so much, will send that across to them - thanks for your help.
I was in a panic that my reg had been cloned as it wasn't me in Wembley and then suddenly looked at the pictures again and thought that's not my reg!0 -
Same thing happened to me where the G in the offending vehicle registration was recorded as C, as in my vehicle. Fortunately the photo of the offender was a white van, whereas I have a green hatchback so they could not dispute it was me - especially as I could prove I could not possibly have been in the referred to location. DVLA make money from "selling" your details to these sharks & they seemingly do not check the vehicle ID - simply hand over your personal details. I wrote a very strong letter to DVLA and asked them to note the mistake on my vehicle record in case the same mistake happened again. No apology of course - just replied that they had been assured that the parking company had corrected the error and deleted my details from their records. The charge got dropped, but again without apology. I suppose they then got another fee for handing over the personal details of the owner of the offending vehicle. ££ talks!1

Its an ANPR misread, plus they failed to do the checks in the Code of Practice, didn't do a proper check, just issued a Robo PCN based on the misread, which also raises the Data issues of accessing your DVLA data incorrectly
Clearly they made an error, but there are no actual consequences for their errors
Which parking company. ? SMART. ? UKPC. ?1
