So a little story, before I received my PCN’s I was always visiting my friend and never had any problems before but then the owner of the land installed ANPR camera which I didn’t know nothing about until I received my first two PCN letters, the problem is that after I found this out I also found out you can only park there for 10 minutes and can only obtain the permit if you get the QR code (which my friend didn’t also tell me about) or put your car registration into the computer at the pub.
The other problem is that there’s nowhere else to park since you can’t park on the main road , and the other smaller car park located on that land is for the residents of that land. My friend said he will “sort it” but he never did, now I tried to dispute the Parking charge notice and tried to explain it to them that my friend forgot to give me the QR code and that the pub was closed but as always they wasn’t having any of it and they didn’t really care what I say.

Now fast forward to today I received a Letter of Claim from DCB legal ltd where I could try to reply to them to dispute the claim with them but the question is, is it worth it or do I just wait?

Judges view it as better if a Defendant responds to a LBC, so we have a template response in post 2 of the NEWBIES thread.
Your main case - when the claim arrives, which is fine - will be CEL's failure to comply with the BPA CoP that applied that year. The clause about putting up extra prominent signs when a previously unmanaged car park becomes suddenly restricted. A driver must be in no doubt as to their obligations and risk of PCN. You had no idea!
Does your friend live in the same boundary as a pub? Show us what the signs say.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Please reply regarding the claim we know you now have, and re-show the redacted claim form.
Your other thread must be left to die away (no new threads about the same case please).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I also included a closer photo of the PoC and I do apologise for the mistakes it’s just that after I finished work yesterday I got home to this letter and it’s just caused a bit of stress and mistakes were made1

With a Claim Issue Date of 28th November, you have until Tuesday 17th December to file an Acknowledgment of Service. Do not file an Acknowledgment of Service before 3rd December, but otherwise there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Tuesday 31st December 2024 to file a Defence. That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.2 -
