I pay £240 a year to Thames, so I hope my bill will not be rising by £31 a year for the next 5 years.Paddle No 21:wave:0

- 6 months clean water fixed charge £14.46 to £15.18, +4.98%;
- Wastewater m3 Rate Charge £0.9051 to £1.1537 , +27.47%;
- 6 mths waste water fixed charge £31.79 to £41.89, +31.77%
So looks like there's more price hikes to come. Standing charges are currently £114.14 p.a (31.27p a day) before a drop is used.0 -
Because by all accounts the increase faced by Affinity water billpayers will be considerably less than almost every other company.Somebody said:GingerTim said:Glad I'm in an Affinity Water area.Why do you say that? I can't really complain, anyway, my annual bill for fixed charge and usage always comes in at about £160 to £180, and they've just reduced my monthly direct debit.0 -
It's not really true to say it's not private anywhere else. Also private in France and Australia for 2 examples and companies from both have bought UK water assetsPegasusPJ said:I really don't understand why water is private in this country (and almost nowhere else), it has no competition possible and is literally an essential!Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
