Have you tried switching off all radiators except the one causing the problem ( with the boiler on of course). If it stays cold there is a probably a blockage. If it heats up then, it is probably a system balancing issue.
No we did not get round to doing that - but on Thursday, we are getting a new double rad fitted in place of the troublesome (single) one anyway and assume that BOXT will balance the whole system anyway.....

So far - not looking too goodBOXT were supposed to be coming tomorrow but they emailed me this morning to put off the installation until next Tuesday (a bereavement)So their NEXT DAY service is not exactly true !!0

Update:BOXT have sent a subcontractor to do the boiler and radiator changeThe equipment was delivered on time (6:50 am) by a "man in a van" but without the radiators !!The engineer is currently removing the old boiler with a strong smell of burning !!Will update later0

I would have assumed all their jobs are subbed out to local engineers?
Hope everything goes well0 -

It appears to be a good job but time will tell!Wrong on both counts - he finished in 4 1/2 hours, he balanced the rads and went through the workings of the remote and turned off the boiler when he had finishedSorry - but despite a bad start - I am fairly impressed with BOXTI paid a fair price and got a decent working heating system0 -
I'm sure you already know this, but the pump speed isn't controlled from your remote. Properly balancing takes a bit of time. If you mean all the radiators got warm/hot and you are happy with it then happy days, the easiest way to do that is ramp the pump speed up so it pushes hot water around, unfortunately that doesn't mean it is balancedSome people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0
