We are in a similar position to OP.

Changed driving licences to temporary family address.
Changed bank account addresses to temporary family address.
Changed mobile phone bills to temporary family address.

If needed I am hoping that the mobile phone bill will do as a utility bill.

Driving licences and banks took less than 24 hours to do over the internet.

No. Specifically excluded by most lenders I can think of...

Change your driving licence and bank account then you can settle ID/POR requirements. The solicitor completion statement and funds appearing in your bank account will be sufficient for evidence of source of funds.
Thank you, what about a utility bill? I only have one for old address.
To gift a deposit? I'd expect ID and the bank statement for proof of address. Why do you think you'll need two proofs of address?

Is it the same daughter that you're gifting and staying with?

Are you really worried about questions on whether you'll be moving with daughter rather than getting a rental? As then its contributing money to where you're living, and there may be questions on beneficial ownership..
Yes it is, and yes that is a bit of a concern if I cant find somewhere to rent by the time their purchase goes through.
Right, this is the bigger issue then and I'd focus on moving rather than faffing wiht temp addresses.

Because I don't have a valid passport as it ran our in 2023 and I haven't renewed. Causes problems with trying to change things quickly online. So alternative are utility bills

Do you have a driving license?

If "yes" then use that - with new address - as your photo ID, and then use a bank statement with your current address as your proof of address.

Utility bills are going to be pointless for you at the moment as you don't have any in the correct address, do you.

Passport renewals are surprisingly quick, so you may as well get that done anyway. Plus out of date passports can often be used for ID purposes.

I think it's established that there are numerous simple ways of the OP changing addresses which she needs to do, not just for the gift, for her driving licence etc. It will also be similarly easy to change it again when necessary.

Meantime, OP needs to contact the mortgage company (or whoever has given her the forms to complete) and ask exactly what they want as proof of identity/residence.

Money laundering rules are strict. What's normally required is photographic ID and proof of address (i.e. utility bill, bank statement, letter from the local authorities, etc.) which should not be older than three months. This presumably has already been requested. Hence the OP's enquiry.
