Gifted deposit trouble

Hi, I'm new and need help. I am gifting a deposit to my daughter and son in law to help them purchase their first family home. The funds are coming from my house sale which has just completed but I have documents to fill in regarding the gift, proof of funds etc and current address. I am staying with family until I can find a suitable rental (difficult) so dont have an address yet. The proof of funds is the solicitor completion and transfer document so can clearly see I no longer live at old address. What do I do, I worried not having an address will prevent this going through but claiming I still live at sold home will be fraud. Advice would be so much appreciated.

You've got an address, it's where you're living at the moment. Why do you think you can't use that?

Because it's my daughters (the one getting the gift) and I am not officially listed on anything as living here.

Find a rental first. Otherwise you'll be homeless anyway.

You are living there. It is your address. Why can't you give that address?

Then get your name officially listed somewhere? What do you need? Something like changing your address on a driving licence or a bank account should only take a matter of days to sort out.

If you have a vehicle, I believe, you should be changing your address on the 'log book'.

It's not easy to just find somewhere to rent, I've been trying for weeks couldn't hold up the sale of my home until there was something suitable. I need to be ID checked and only have utility Bill's etc for sold property. Havent got anything changed to my daughters address as its hopefully very temporary.

It doesn't cost anything to update the address on a drivers license, if you have one then update it to where you currently are then change it again once you have a new place to live.

Change your driving licence and bank account then you can settle ID/POR requirements. The solicitor completion statement and funds appearing in your bank account will be sufficient for evidence of source of funds.

Thank you, what about a utility bill? I only have one for old address.
