PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Since you're staying with family, you can use their address as your current temporary residence for documentation purposes. Many people use a family or friend's address while in between homes. Be transparent about your situation if needed.

Is it the same daughter that you're gifting and staying with?
Are you really worried about questions on whether you'll be moving with daughter rather than getting a rental? As then its contributing money to where you're living, and there may be questions on beneficial ownership..2 -

We are in a similar position to OP.
Changed driving licences to temporary family address.
Changed bank account addresses to temporary family address.
Changed mobile phone bills to temporary family address.
If needed I am hoping that the mobile phone bill will do as a utility bill.
Driving licences and banks took less than 24 hours to do over the internet.

failure to update your driving licence is an offence, you don't even own the property you are still listed at, let alone reside in it.1
