Same here. Payment BEFORE switch date!WillPS said:
Well that's certainly a good sign it'll work outsco22y said:
You ain't going to believe this. I checked my Lloyds app today and the £200 went in today and the switch isn't until Friday. Crazy! Thanks for the reply regardless.WillPS said:sco22y said:Hi, just getting into this switching game. Up until recently I had the same old current account with Halifax for over 30 years but hardly ever used it as I tended to use my join account. I set up three dd's (£1 each). I then waited until money had been taken from all three before then switching to Nationwide (only 2 dd needed for this). It was really easy and got the £175 quite quickly.
After this I applied for the Lloyd's switch from Nationwide. Here is where my drama is.
My switch is scheduled for Friday 29th November but, although I have 3 active dd's on my Nationwide account, only 2 has had money taken so far from my Nationwide account (3rd one due 8th Dec).
My question is, will I qualify for the switch offer under these circumstances.
On hingsight, I should have chosen a switch date after the 8th December to be in the safe side. I've been thinking of trying to add another quick dd from now until Friday just incase. I have paypal and was thinking of trying to set up a dd to myself. It'll likely be fine - there's no stated requirement for the DDs to already have been drawn previously, just be 'active'. The problem is that proving there was an active DD is far easier if you can point to a transaction on a statement from the old account; but this is only an issue if something goes wrong. It's impossible to get any DD, leave alone a brand new one to draw in the timescales you're asking for. It takes a week minimum.Don't stress about it, I'd be very surprised if you had issues and in the worst case Lloyds don't exclude existing customers; you can always try again.
LBG are very prompt indeed0 -
I now have 4 direct debits showing as 'pending' in my dummy chase account. No payments have been taken as yet.
Will I be ok to start the switch now, or do I need to wait for 3 payments to come out?
They are not due until after the switch ends thats all.0 -
It’s my understanding that as long as you have had a payment come out of the DD then you should be fine, like with me my payment come out of my old account before switching to nationwide so that should count just fine, if I understand it correctly once I get my payment from nationwide I can just move I don’t have to wait for the DD to come out of nationwide as well, is that correct?.sco22y said:Hi, just getting into this switching game. How quick did you get the money from nationwide, I’m 2 days over my switch date now all complete and just waiting for it before I can switch again, I had a text saying we will let you know soon if your eligible for it but that was a week ago and nothing since?.sco22y said:Hi, just getting into this switching game. Got my £200 just now (Friday 29th) and not due to switch until Wednesday. I started the switch on Monday 25th.0

Does anyone know when the £3 fee for paying in less than £2,000 a month gets taken off? Is it exactly a month after you open the account?0
-
It's calendar month. Mine is usually the first working day of the month I think. The £3 is always charged, and then there is a separate £3 fee rebate which is usually applied sometime in the afternoon.paul_liverpoolfc said:Does anyone know when the £3 fee for paying in less than £2,000 a month gets taken off? I'm looking to switch from Co-Op ( I switched to them a while ago and received a switching bonus), Ive always had 1 DD, I've added 2 more and I can see them, if I go to View or Delete scheduled payments, they’re both there showing £0, so no money has been taken yet and I can't see when it will be taken, can I switch now or do I need to wait for the money to be taken? Many Thanks, Steve
