Well done everyone who's managing to stick to it and not giving in to temptation of all the christmas food.

  • Morning everyone.

    Food today:
    2x marmalade on toast
    Fish and chips!  :o

    Snacks - Satsumas

DH is the chief cook and bottle washer in our house at the moment while my arthritis is bad and unfortunately he's out of action with a bad cold so we're having to manage, hence the takeaway.  I'll try not to eat too much batter but as everyone is saying, temptation is all around. I shall try to use 'portion caution' and resist troughing through until the last chip is gone simply because its there on the plate. :) .

  • Chilly morning today.

Not very hungry today so hoping I'm not getting DH's cold. Survived the takeaway yesterday with just enjoying my fish and a few chips but didn't need anything else other than a satsuma later.

    Food today:
    Missed breakfast
Cheese and pineapple salad with crackers
    Weetabix (if hungry later)

    Snacks - satsumas and pineapple

I wasn't very hungry yesterday evening so didn't cook the planned meal and just nibbled leftovers. This morning I got up late and thought I might have lost a half pound but hadn't. Will record my weight for this week tomorrow morning.

Unfortunately I have to say +1.5 lb this week. I am not really sure why  :'( I will really have to be careful over Christmas or at least increase my exercise. No lunch today and a healthy carrot and  lentil dish this evening. Plus a walk this afternoon before it gets dark.
  • Morning,

Feeling yuck today with this cold and not interested in food but will try to plod on.

    Food today:
    No brekies
Chicken casserole (will blend to soup if can't fancy)
    Banana and greek yoghurt

Snacks - pineapple (as its helping my throat)

Yesterdays evening weetabix turned into a toasted bacon sandwich and I ate two chocolate biscuits as I feared losing my taste with this cold. I'm so greedy sometimes.  :)

  • @charlies_tribe 😂 yep the snack attacks are happening here too! I've put on loads of weight in the last couple of weeks. The initial determination failed. Away with work, general lazyness to cook properly etc. I've been mainlining cheese and biscuits instead of proper meals, and booze, and not managed any exercise due to the weather.

I was thinking about how January always seems to be the 'determined' month, where I'm on a mission to start again. I've been very busy lately and I'm just tired now, with no motivation or energy. Hopefully a decent break over Christmas will find me rested and raring to go.

@Brambling thank you for running the group! Hope the next year is kind to you all!

    + 1.5 for me following lead-up-to-Christmas social whirl. 🎅🥳
