Uc is calculated monthly, so new calculation every month, based on £4k earnings that's like 48k a year, but your saying 28k, so if you esrn less some months then you will get mu h more UC

Newcad said:There appears to be a missing LCWRA Element of £416.19.(The deduction for ESA seems to indicate that it is ESA Support Group, although the amount deducted does seem slighly different from what I would expect that could be because it's the first month). There is no LCWRA Element showing on that UC statement so if it is ESA Support Group you need to raise a query on your journal asking why not.
If they are deducting for ESA Support Group then they should also be paying UC LCWRA Element.0 -

(If your ESA weren't contribution-based it would have stopped 2 weeks after claiming UC.)0 -

Hiw long do they consider a calendar month?
Is there no way to permanently avoid this issue in future? Other than having to raise a RT on the journal?
Is it possible to work out whixh month we will jave an issue as she gets paid the day before the last working day of every month (checked last year's bankstatment) and the assesment peroid is 29th - 28th.
See https://www.gov.uk/running-payroll/reporting-to-hmrc which says:When to send your FPS
Send the FPS on or before your employees’ payday, even if you pay HMRC quarterly instead of monthly.
You must enter the usual date that you pay your employees, even if you pay them earlier or later. For example, if you pay your employees early because your usual payday falls on a Bank Holiday, you should still enter your regular payday.

Thanks all. We have been speaking with UC via journal and have raised the 3 points of LCWRA, my wife's double payment and the transitional protection. And the fot note.
They said updated the statement but not sure if this is final or they are still sorting it out as this is what it says now. Also UC said You have been paid twice within one assessment period, I have referred the Issue to our Earnings Invalidation Team to Adjust the Claim. You will be Notified by journal when this has been Done and your claim has been adjusted. The Transitional Protection has been calculated and Your Universal Credit entitlement is not less than your previous benefits, so we have not added an extra payment. Your husbands health journey is currently being fully verified , We are waiting for further Information being sent from ESA (Employment support allowance) at this time. Once fully Verified your Husbands claim will be Updated and Adjusted, Any Monies owed will then be Calculated and paid. Thanks for letting us know, The Fit note Request is Generic and is Automatically sent when certain details are disclosed. Please ignore the Request and this should drop off once the Claim has been further Verified.0 -
Good to see that the LCWRA Element has been added now.Once the double wages are sorted out things should look a lot better.PS. I think that they are right that with the LCWRA Element included there will be no TE due. (Unless I have missed something in this fairly complicated thread?) The main discrepancy now appears to be that 2-wages in one AP situation.1

LCWRA replaces one of the Carer Elements, so the increase is £416.19 - £198.31 = £217.88 (added to the prior £15 odd).2

I heard that they should either the LCWRA Element or the carers Element depending which is higher. Didn't realise they deducted the carers Element from the LCWRA Element0

A joint claim can have up to two carer elements, or one carer element and one LCWRA.
On your statement it shows two people are caring, but only one element is being paid because the LCWRA element is now being paid as well, so it's replaced the carer element that was in your name.1
