    Yes.

Bear in mind you'll have a mediation appointment over the phone at some stage. As soon as you'll say you're open to offers they'll suddenly put £100 on the table, so you can see it's all just scaring tactics (most people say they won't pay a penny and the mediation is over in 60 seconds).
  • Thank you, good to know. It would be interesting to know how much the whole process actually costs them (between ECP and the various "debt collectors" over the two-year period in terms of letters, admin, cost of staff etc. As I'm sure is common, I must've had at least 30 letters, if not more, over the past two years, from various different (but all seemingly related) debt collection agencies.
  • Hi all, just a quick question - I've had this stupid offer letter from DCB, am I right in saying I don't need to give them my up-to-date telephone number and email address as they have requested?

You are right in saying that.
  • Hi all,

I just received a text message saying I have mediation tomorrow between 09:00 and 12:00. It says to refer to your email or letter for instructions, but I've had neither. There has been no letter (and they definitely have my correct address) and definitely no email.

Is there anything within the instructions I need to know in advance?

Also, I have a work call at 10am which will probably last for 30 minutes, is it curtains if i miss it?

You won't miss the call if you take your work call on another device and keep your phone available.  It's literally three minutes.  You can mute your sound on the other device and close the camera briefly and take the call.

Or get a family member primed and ready to answer - they say "I'll just get them" then pass the phone to you.

You then say "hello Mr/Ms Mediator, I've attended the call which is all I'm required to do. I will make no settlement offer whatsoever. They are scum and you are supporting worthless parking claims which is an embarrassment to the court system. Tell them to wind their necks in and I'll see them in court. Bye".

We do already tell you that this us a nothing stage - it's just a few minutes phone call - and we provide a link to exactly what to say, in the first 12 steps in the Template Defence thread. Literally minutes taken to deal with this stage.

Tell your work colleagues you are expecting a delivery. Then if the phone buzzes tell them "there's someone at the door".

    It'll take the equivalent time.

Hi all, I had a Notice of Allocation to the Small Claims Track (Hearing) Letter some time ago.

No N180 form in it (as seems to be suggested it should be when I search) as i filled that out months ago.

The only thing it says to action (by April 22nd) is "the parties are to send to the court and send to each other a bundle containing the documents they intend to rely in in trial..."

The court is Guildford, no email address in there for them or anything.

What is the extent of the evidence i need to send them, and do i need to also send it to DCB legal as well as suggested? also where do i send it?

Coincidentally, i had an email from DCB today offering to drop it to £60!
