I'd say this is a great tip applicable to lots of city breaks, and if you live in a city it covers.

The app will switch to the right city for you (as long as it's covered) almost automatically (you just need to confirm you want to switch).

I stayed in a hotel right next to Oriente railway station. You can get a train from there out to Sintra. 

Opposite the station is a good shopping centre called Vasco de Gama and they have lots of food outlets for a quick meal.

Forgot to mention that they have a gondola ride along the waterfront which is good fun. It's a bit like a ski lift on a horizontal wire.
