For the standard tourist experience getting around the sights we used the HoHo bus networks. That was few years ago so things may have changed. If you have your own headphones (with 3.5mm jack plug connector) they are much better than the ones supplied.I would suggest getting off at the stop at the top of the huge King George V park - you can't miss the enormous Portuguese flag located there - and walking casually down to the stop at the bottom.I remember one nice bar restaurant en route where you can enjoy your favourite tipple.0

Ok, so you aren't staying in Lisbon, you are in the Lisbon area, on the other side of the harbour. 45 minutes or so by car or public transport from Lisbon.SUPERGIRL2020 said:I'm staying in an area called Alcochete!
Sure you will have a lovely time, but its not a Lisbon city break. Will you have a car or be relying on public transport?1 -
Looks like getting a bus over would be fairly straightforwards.
I put a link but it stopped working. You need to look at the 4702 - it runs very frequently across from where you are.
See if this is any better - 4702 Route: Schedules, Stops & Maps - Lisboa (Oriente) (Updated) (moovitapp.com)All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
We have transfers booked when we arrive at the airport but for the rest of the holiday it will be taxis or buses depending on the prices of taxis, we are on a budget400ixl said:

Not really, it's one that takes you as far as Oriente, which wouldn't really be described as central - it's about another 25 minutes into somewhere like Rossio from there, although all the modern development around Oriente is quite appealing in itself if you like that sort of thing. As mentioned earlier, Lisbon is quite spread out though....SUPERGIRL2020 said:
