Happy birthday for yesterday @ValliA and I met 32 years ago today - where did all those years go?Have done some flying this week: cleaned the kitchen including bleaching the sink and washing up pad. Cleaned the bathroom floor and S&S the basin, mirror and lav and washed and dried the towels. Today I've done two loads of washing and am now in the drying phase. I've been to the shops and done an online order and put a card through the door of a friend who has had an operation and posted cards to our elderly friend in Plymouth and to a friend in Leicester. Our Plymouth friend (now 89) let us call him on his recent birthday and although his speech hasn't returned to normal after his stroke he was perfectly intelligible He has made good progress evidently and might be allowed to return to his home if this continues. My back and neck are quite a bit better, especially my back, but neither is 100%. I read recently that scientists have discovered that there are two points in life where most people have a step-change in the aging process: one is around the age of 40 and the other around 60. I don't recall noticing any particular difference when I was 40 but now I'm over 60 I really feel the difference and in some respects am starting to feel 'old', although in my head I'm still about 42. I really don't like it but what can you do?5

Good morning my lovelies 😘
I'm up, made my bed, completed Wordle in five, completed Connections with one life lost, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, and I'm supping my first brew. While the kettle was boiling I binned some over ripe bananas and tomatoes.
Round 1
Brew 2 and breakfast
Shower and dressed
Feed the birds
Put out the rubbish and recycling
Put new bin bags in bins
Bring down the laundry hamper
Sort washing into loads
Set first load swishing
WUDUPA
And that'll be the Saturdailies done.
Hope everyone is well. Love to all.

Morning all. Hope you're all ok.
Wordle completed in four and just yellow and green lines on connections. Dailies are done, Poppet is walked and I'm all dolled up ready for a day out with a friend. To Hull and back! I will be waving at some fly ladies.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Morning all,
Belated happy birthday, Valli. Hope you had a lovely day.
Hope the presentation went well, YL, and that the power of flyladies got you soaring through.
Hope Poppet is ok, Jazee.
I was awol at the end of the week, after spending 12 hours in a&e with DD, and then going back the next day for the consultant’s ward round. Very long story cut short, she is ok in as much as she can carry for the moment, and her big city consultant appointment needs to be brought forward to determine exactly what is going on and whether another op is needed.Flying this week has been limited to unpacking my new vacuum cleaner (not using yet, you understand!) and cooking us all a healthy dinner last night to make up for the lack of sleep and nutrition over the past couple of days. I may just have slept in this morning to catch up on zzz.
Wm is on, as DD helpfully spilt an entire glass of red wine down herself last night! I have made no promises in removing the stain on the first go.
Next job - finish the last few rows on the socks that I am making for DD so that she can take them back with her to the uni city later today.
Have a good day all x6 -
Pots are all WUDUPA. Plastic for recycling has been WUDU and put in the recycling bin. Vase is soaking.
First load of washing had an extra spin and has been draped on the airer. Second load is swishing.
Pops phoned to see how I am and if I've heard anything about Vin. I'm not calling round to see him this weekend as everyone around me at TT is coughing and sneezing, and I don't want to be responsible for giving him germs. 🤧 I was sneezing and sniffling yesterday but I'm OK today. Touch 🪵.
Coffee was savoured earlier and mug has been WUDUPA. Nearly lunch time. A couple of chapters of my book first methinks.

I hope your DD is bettwe now @Fayolle and it all gets sorted out satisfactorily with the consultant.Today I went to the shops, put away the things from delivery, made lunch and WUPA everything, cleaned the bathroom and vacc'd around and made some oat biscuits, which are ok but not as nice as I'd hoped. Made supper,, washed up, watched Strictly, put out A's breakfast things and morning meds, and now it's time for bed.Tomorrow A's cousin and her husband are coming for lunch so after church I will be busy making a casserole and an apple and blackberry crumble and having a last-minute tidy and S&S.6

I'm up, made my bed, completed Wordle in three, completed Connections with one life lost, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, and I'm supping my first brew.
Caught up with GBBO yesterday as I didn't realise the new series was starting and missed it on Tuesday. Watched Strictly and voted.
Have a good day

Morning all. Completed wordle in four and connections with no lives lost. Had a fantastic day out with bestie yesterday.
Hope your DD is ok Fayolle.
Poppet is ok but we are poorer. One of my first jobs this morning will be doing the pet insurance claim. I'm on my own until this evening as all my family including DH have been to events all over the country this weekend, so I'll potter about in my own time, maybe have a lovely long soak in the bath.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.5 -
