Morning all
I woke at just gone eight, decided i wasn’t quite ready to face the world and hunkered back down…woke again just after 9:30. Currently sitting still while the medicine goes down, so to speak. Connections done but by the skin of my teeth, wordled in 3

Thank you Ionafan and Jazee. xIt was wonderful, we had the best weekend imagineable and we're completely exhausted, but I called him my husband for the first time this morning which felt a bit weird after 31 years and 18 days, and it turns out he's been referring to me as his wife for years - which I didn't know.I haven't had the time or the bandwidth to catch up with Fred yet, but I wanted to thank you all for your good wishes. I'll be back as soon as I can deal with the leftover food and stop worrying about it. The fridge and the freezer are both an Area of Doom.Better is good enough.6

Congratulations MRS HB 😊 I'm glad you had a great weekend of celebrations 🍾
Paid stuff today - not much flying done. 1x WM & picking up toys is about it!
Big cat is still hunting 😕 He has obviously found a rat's nest or group of young rats. In addition to the one in the kitchen, there was another dead one on the grass yesterday - it may have been the original one from early Friday am, but that makes at least 2! And then he had something in the LR earlier, but he ran outside. He has been out there for 2 hours, definitely hunting something! Little cat is on the bed with us, and I have shut the kitchen door so he will have to stay in there overnight. He will not be happy! I am 90% certain they are being brought in from outside. I think I will ask my neighbours tomorrow to see if they have noticed anything.

Congratulations HB.Eek about the rats Goodintentions.Wordle done in 4 today and failed connections again. Oh dear.Today is bake DS1's birthday cake day. Ran out of flour part-way through weighing, went to get my new bag that I'd bought from the worktop next to the hob, to discover that it had been sitting in a puddle of water (possibly because DH steamed up the kitchen when cooking yesterday as he hadn't opened any windows, or because he's cleaned the hob and the water trickled over to that area). I discovered not only was the flour wet, but the potato bag was soaked as well. I've left DH in the kitchen cleaning the hob and that area and instructed him to dry it all off so that I can line my cake tins (fingers crossed I have enough greaseproof paper in the drawer, as the new greaseproof paper and foil were also casualties to the worktop lake and are drying out on the airer currently). Luckily, there was enough useable flour, so the dry ingredients are weighed out and in their bowls. Just the wet to measure, and line the tins etc, then bake. Will ice the cakes tomorrow. Hope they both fit under my food umbrella (the net type) to protect them from fluffy cat trying to eat them (he seems to have a sweet tooth and not realise that cake, particularly chocolate, could make him very ill or worse). The roofing people are still here, as DH asked them to replace the guttering too as an add-on job. Hopefully there will be less banging as it keeps giving me a headache.Happy flying everyone xEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20176

so...
pegged out washing and observed odd marks in the kitchen near the door (on the floor)...after much peering I worked out it was likely dried blood...after a hunt I found a little furry body...so that has been removed and the floor by the door mopped.
Done the ironing

Hi all
Tired tonight, been one of those weeks.
Lovely to hear things went well HB, congratulations to you both.
DH managed to get the washing out and it has been finished off in the drier. Washing up done, DW on. It's very rainy, we need some work doing to our roof but can't pin the builder down to a date, we might have to try someone else.
Going to make overnight oats and my pack up for tomorrow then settle down with my book.5 -

Morning all.
Kaz, you can get raised inserts for your shoes that are brilliant for that problem.
Wordle completed in two, yellow and green lines on connections, work shift done, most dailies, polished kitchen sink, hoovered through. Checked banking as Poppet is still not right so DH is taking her to the vet, hence no dog walk today.Spend less now, work less later.6
