🥳🎂🎁Happy Birthday @Valli Hope you have a lovely day x@kazwookie I've heard from a friend who suffers with this that rolling your feet on a tennis ball is meant to help relieve the pain a little. We do foot-rolling on squash balls in my pilates class as my teacher is also a reflexologist, and it's amazing what it can do for you. It feels really uncomfortable doing it, but afterwards, it does seem to feel much better (she had me doing it for my back pain the other week, and I've continued to do it with a small ball that I found at home).@Jazee I hope Poppet will be ok and the vet can find something to make her better. 🤞DS1's birthday cake finally decorated - he wanted a chocolate fudge cake. As I call him Beanie still, I have decorated the top with jelly beans. Fingers crossed he likes it. He's expecting just sprinkles, but I think if I add those too, it will look a bit OTT, so have just gone with the sweets. The cake is a little bit wonky (despite trimming some of the top off both layers) as our oven seems to be hotter than it is meant to be, but having tasted the off-cuts, I know it will at least taste good.Kitchen is all cleaned up post baking. I need to clean the dining table, and maybe even wash the wall behind DS1's dining chair if I still have some energy and time, so that it looks better in his photos. Living room isn't looking too bad as I got DS2 to pick up a lot of his lego that he tends to scatter everywhere from the bay window where he likes to make his builds. Will go over the sofa with the hoover though as DH has been sneakily eating his lunch on there, despite a rule of no eating on the sofa, and he's just as bad as DS2 at leaving crumbs everywhere. lolPeri-menopause seems to be knocking me at the moment. I did wonder why my face had suddenly broken out in massive spots, and today AF turned up unexpectedly 5 days earlier than my tracker app predicted she would.Connections completed all 4 lines, wordle in 4.

Ooh yes Happy Birthday Valli.
Not a bad day in the office, it has been very very wet so I worked through and didn't take a break.
Tomorrow is a big day, I am speaking at a mini conference for work in front of 75 people. I have no choice, I am terrified, but also determined to do it well. I have practised and practised. I am there for the whole day and mine is one of the last slots too. Wish me luck.
Oh and I have agreed to volunteer for something on Sunday that I really don't want to do. I felt pressured but I should have said no. I am cross with myself.
All laundry put away, the house is fairly tidy, I don't have to be out of the house until 8.30am tomorrow which is a late start for me. Might have a little lie in.5 -
thanks thanks for you good wishes

Morning all xx
YL - posivibes and flylady luck and love heading your way xx
TGI Friyayyyyyy! I'm up, dressed, made my bed, packed my lunch, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, eaten breakfast, supped a brew, completed Wordle and Connections (lost one life), and I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I set off for TT.
Yesterday I was tired of waiting for news on Vin Diesel. So I phoned the garage for a progress report. They haven't got Vin!!! He wasn't collected on 12th September which I was told he would be. He's still in storage at the recovery yard!!!! That's two weeks wasted. And if I hadn't phoned??? 🙄 Anyhoo. The garage and the claims firm are now (allegedly) chasing this up, arranging for Vin to be collected, and I'll be phoned with an update. Claims lady said car is probably a total loss. I understand that may be the case but I'd like someone knowledgeable to actually look at the car and make that decision. I told her as it's only the wing I'm hoping it will be repairable.
Why is nothing straightforward any more? And breathe....
Have a good day.

Kitchen and Dining Room done. Just need to clear draining board after floor is dry and clean the sink!
Also started sorting out charity shop pile which is well.over due. I have about a car boot full.of stuff because some of it needed checking and testing e.g. puzzles and toys that need batteries to see if they work. Some remote controlled cars binned as I couldn't get them to work but surprisingly the puzzles had all.of their pieces. I have been putting that job off for.months. I am going to put them in th car and take them later this afternoon
