Go back to the first 12 steps in the Template Defence thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

  • Thanks @Coupon-mad. Just to confirm this isn't the actual document for me to complete, they have just attached what they intend to respond with. Is this common?

Happens all the times, stick to the 12 steps

You are now waiting for the CNBC in Northampton to post your blank N180, then keep following the advice in the newbies sticky thread plus the 12 steps

What didn't you understand when you read this on the checklist you were following when you filed a Defence?...

Items 8, 9 and 10 on that list might be worth another read too.
  • Thanks guys,

Given 'early telephone Mediation is now compulsory in 2024', is it worth me discussing to settle for a minial fee with them?

You could do if you want to, if its preferable to do so , but I presume that you meant minimal

    Whyever would you want to?

DCB Legal always discontinue single PCN defended claims.  You'll have no hearing and you'll end up paying nothing.

Also, you will get targeted for more PCNs and the last thing you want is a claim record that you paid (effectively admitting liability).

Completely winnable defence.  They will give up:
The ticket issued for me not displaying a permit (This was for parking in my own designated residential space on the first day I moved into my property ) - Whilst it is technically correct that I didn’t display anything as I had no permit sent and had never been told I needed one.
This is because management company (landowners) interest was not noted on the LEP1 form when I purchased the property

Please reassure us that you have opted your designated bay OUT of the scheme and are not displaying a permit now?

Do not accept the scheme.  Separate to your case with this scam claim, get yourself OUT of this scheme this year.  It will prey upon you and it's best not to be seen to 'accept' it.

  • Thanks for your response @Coupon-mad. I wasn't actually aware you were able to opt out of the scheme so I will have a look into this ASAP. Much appreciated.
