unsung said:OP is quite happy for posters to stray a little from the subject of original post as long as it is about the service we are getting from our supermarkets and is aware Asda, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Iceland provide frozen minced beef but can’t find any on Ocado website. He may be having a dig at Ocado and Waitrose for being too ‘yuppy’ to offer such a solid everyday item. As regards the vac pac and freeze option, I guess you could alternatively keep a cow in the back garden. And, btw, humour IS intended so please don’t take offence - you’ll need it for the back garden.Using an every day vac pac machine, they are cheap to buy, prolong the life of food, use much less space in the freezer, keep food fresher.Your OP was about Tesco delivery prices, stocking beef mince has been covered. You still have Asda, Sainsburys, Ocado, Morrisons, Iceland to pick from.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. We're Ocado or Waitrose shoppers, as we prefer the quality and selection available.
I personally prefer the accuracy of product picking Ocado offers (no random subs) and the quality products offered by Ocado and Waitrose, which is why I shop there.
But OP it's up to you, as has been pointed out cheaper delivery options are available and most supermarkets stock frozen minced beef.2 -
My bad. Despite it's appearance, the Ocado mince mentioned does appear to be frozen. At 19.50 per Kg, however, as opposed to, say, Asda's 7.50 per Kg mince it has limited appeal.0
