Ocado substitute for us very infrequently and usually with a comparable product (we've never got lemon scented washing up liquid instead of lemons for example).
Its because Ocado has a robot do a large part of the picking of the order, if you order lemons the box that should contain lemons comes down, whereas at  Tesco generally a human can walk the whole store, so they are free to select any item at all.

All the more reason to stick with Ocado then.

Ocado do not have customers removing stock (to buy) so have far greater control over stock levels which should result in fewer substitutions than high street chains - one advantage of robot pickers is the items are not the leftovers after stock has been mauled by the general public rather than choice of substitutions (if any)

It's now £39.50, still good value though, plus although days are limited, slot times are not, so any time slot.

I love the convenience of frozen minced beef. You can make so many different meals from it. Don't really care for chicken. So obviously a supermarket which doesn't provide this doesn't get my consideration but each to their own.

    Without continuing going off topic.

It’s only Waitrose that don’t sell it so you have Ocado, Asda, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Iceland to pick from.

Failing that, buy fresh and freeze

this doesnt work as well, frozen mince is in pellets and you can use only what you need. fresh is in lumps so would have to be divided and wrapped in yet more plastic bags.

    I see your point.
I wouldn’t dream of buying frozen personally, I buy fresh batch cook, portion vac pac and freeze.
    Each to their own though.

But without wandering off topic again, op still has Ocado, Asda, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Iceland to pick from.

OP is quite happy for posters to stray a little from the subject of original post as long as it is about the service we are getting from our supermarkets and is aware Asda, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Iceland provide frozen minced beef but can’t find any on Ocado website. He may be having a dig at Ocado and Waitrose for being too ‘yuppy’ to offer such a solid everyday item. As regards the vac pac and freeze option, I guess you could alternatively keep a cow in the back garden.  And, btw, humour IS intended so please don’t take offence - you’ll need it for the back garden.
