MSE_Stephen said:Hi again everyone.
If this issue persists we will shortly try switching to the "New Layouts" version of pages while we wait for the issue to be resolved.
These aren't really ready for prime-time and might look a bit ugly, but we hope will restore functionality.
The downside is that some custom features, like the special features on Competitions Time would be temporarily unavailable.1 -

... but clicking on the Categories heading provides the full list.
The new layouts have a lot of great features, but only when we're ready to move permanently.
When we switch to new layouts permanently we also have to rearrange the category structure. So, these will work AND they'll become part of Breadcrumbs making it much easier to navigate the forums.

You should be able to use the checkmarks from inside each thread. That view remains the same.
I'm aware that doesn't help seeing on the index at a glance - which is a major problem.Join the MSE Forum

Seems the changes have broken RSS feeds too, I'm getting nothing through from the competitions sub-forum.

I don't *mind* the new layout (I know it's currently temporary) but feedback for before it's actually rolled out:
> The thread info is very cluttered - I don't need to know how many 'points' a thread has not which forum/subforum it's in whilst I'm looking at the threads from that sub/forum, and
> my usual link to the 4 boards I use doesn't work and I can't find how to get to that exact view. 'Followed content' doesn't show me the time of the last post so I have to click on the board to see if there's been any activity since I last looked. Missing that information at a glance is admittedly a minor niggle but a niggle nonetheless, I don't want to lose it permanently.0 -

And any other comments anyone has! This is a good accidental test!
Some of the formatting is just down to configuration and can easily be changed (I've actually just tweaked) -
Because we were not anticipating using the New Layouts.
@Spoonie_Turtle I can see that "Followed Content" doesn't give as much as the Boards with the Followed Toggle.
Does it help that you can use the "Latest Threads" page with a filter to just see from "Following"?:

The widget used to provide COMPETITIONS "entered/skipped" button (currently) only shows on individual post pages. It previously displayed on the main category pages (e.g https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/categories/competitions-time ).This becomes a problem as it's no longer possible (via the category overview) see which competitions we've entered. To see this widget you must (during this test) click on every single post. This will increase data demands n-fold. I quite like the look of the new layout, especially where it says next to a thread '0 point'.0

Even worse now, it has stopped the "something went wrong" message" and takes you to page 2 but then it still gives the option to go to page 2 and won't move on to page 3.0
