Lol. Hopefully double luck. In fact that might be the case as I spotted a spider spinning a web while looking at the cats. In an hour the spider made this web and it was spellbinding to watch. The light doesn't show the web properly.

That's beautiful! Very even. They experimented with spiders on caffine and other substances once That was facinating.

And you post got me to looking if spiders spin worse webs when old then do they sleep (yes possibily) and a miriad of other facinating stuff.

You just never know what starts an interest but now I want to know more

Yes. I watched some YouTube videos of spiders today spinning their web after seeing that. Think it's the orb spider..

That sounds spooky. Will have to watch the film. Made me look out the window expecting to see lots of them.

Edit. And @twopenny in the vid I watched said like you said that caffeine and other stimulants were given to the spiders but not so much for research but because the researchers spiders only made their webs in the night between 2am and 5am . They wanted them to spin webs in normal working hours. But they still made their web in the night. Lol.  Would hame missed it if you hadn't mentioned it.

The plastic flower has now gone. I searched the bushes and looked over next door gardens. Almost completely fenced with just one gap. So maybe dragged by fox or carried in air.
