in Credit cards
I have what looks like a fraudulent transaction that is also showing as being refunded -£17.97 & +£17.97 .
Any need to contact them about it? or as only pending and there is a "refund" not to bother atm.

Perhaps your credit card company has detected it as possible fraud and blocked/refunded?

If CC detects it, it would be stopped at source & never seen on your account. You would then have a phone call or text/secure message to contact them, so they can confirm & then stop & replace your card.Life in the slow lane1 -
Definitely contact the credit card company and ask to be put through to the fraud team - don’t just accept customer services. Same thing happened to me with a very small sum (less than £2). Fraud team took it very seriously as they said it was an indicator payment and whoever applied for the money had clearly been successful. They would then expect a much larger sum to follow a little later.
My card was immediately cancelled and a replacement sent (the replacement was in my Apple wallet within an hour).
Better safe than sorry and trying to recover a large payment. Apparently the fraudsters refund it immediately when they successfully get funds in the hope the card holder doesn’t notice.1 -
