Pending Transactions.

Options
I have what looks like a fraudulent transaction that is also showing as being refunded -£17.97 & +£17.97 .
Any need to contact them about it?  or as only pending and there is a "refund"  not to bother atm.

Perhaps your credit card company has detected it as possible fraud and blocked/refunded?

    Do you recognize the payee?

The payee isn't one I've ever used (not even heard of it). Whatever the reason seems the CC have detected it and have refunded. That's why I'm wondering to contact them. If wasn't for the refund showing  I would certainly be chasing it.

Talk to them & find out. Especially if it is not something you have done. It could be retailer has realised that it was fraud & refunded. That still leaves your card details out there to be used again.

If CC detects it, it would be stopped at source & never seen on your account. You would then have a phone call or text/secure message to contact them, so they can confirm & then stop & replace your card.

Definitely contact the credit card company and ask to be put through to the fraud team - don’t just accept customer services. Same thing happened to me with a very small sum (less than £2). Fraud team took it very seriously as they said it was an indicator payment and whoever applied for the money had clearly been successful. They would then expect a much larger sum to follow a little later.
My card was immediately cancelled and a replacement sent (the replacement was in my Apple wallet within an hour).
Better safe than sorry and trying to recover a large payment. Apparently the fraudsters refund it immediately when they successfully get funds in the hope the card holder doesn’t notice.
