But you have gone against the advice you were given - and agreed to do.

If you can't see that, then you need to take some time to mull it over.

If you've had a 'terrible few months' then most of us here will sympathise with your troubles.

A pity, because it could have ended quite differently.

And for what it's worth no one is 'bashing you'.

Can the CCJ be removed from my record or is it there for the foreseeable?

It would cost you £303 to try to have it set aside with little prospect of success,  or getting your £303 back, especially if that claim form came to your address,  without you dealing with it

Chances are that all you can do is pay the CCJ in full ASAP to avoid 6 years of credit file misery

This is a self help with good advice forum, we give the best advice,  the victim must help themselves by acting promptly on all of the advice

Had you come back here when you received The claim form,  there was a good chance of winning the case and paying nothing at all

We can sympathise,  but court proceedings have to be dealt with promptly

I already told you how to ensure the CCJ doesn't stay on your record AT ALL:

No need. So sorry but it's all over. By going against all our advice and ignoring a court claim, you have lost by default and must now pay in full within 4 weeks of judgment to stop this ruining your credit rating for 6 years.
I gave you the info to escape credit rating damage. Like I said. Pay it! IMMEDIATELY.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I’ve had court papers and a CCJ now added to my credit file for the parking fines. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
What is the date of the CCJ?  You have 4 weeks from that date to pay to ensure the CCJ does not remain on your file for six years.
