Parking charge notice

I recently received two parking charges from Parkmaven. Both vehicles are registered to me and the fines are seperate occasions. On both occasions my partner was driving. The notice has since been moved onto DCBL (direct collection bailiffs ltd)
the fee is now £170 per ticket. My question is what are people doing regarding the extra fee added and the parking charge in general?

I'll jump in and say that the regulars here will tell you to read the stickies that will give you the details on what to do. Frankly I found it a bit of a mare to untangle it all but maybe you'll have more luck.

The keeper should have appealed at the time, but too late now
The £170 per PCN is the debt collector stage, impasse, ignore the powerless debt collectors
That added fee usually gets thrown out in court
Nothing is owed unless a judge says so, until then its a disputed alleged debt
If the keeper is not willing to defend it in the court process, then the keeper should name the driver with their address and PCN reference, separately, for each and every PCN, to Parkmaven, the parking company
( ignore the debt collectors. )
The driver will then get the new PCNs in their own name , which is their problem to deal with
The above MUST be done before any court claim is issued, too late afterwards, assuming that the keeper really wants to deal with it. ? Otherwise defend as the non driving keeper at the appropriate time
The newbies sticky thread in announcements by coupon mad near the top of the parking forum gives general advice on everything1 -

- You won't be paying a penny
- DCB Legal issue claims
- everyone defends (no CCJ risk)
- DCB Legal will discontinue in 2025.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I’ve had court papers and a CCJ now added to my credit file for the parking fines. Any advice would be greatly appreciated0

You were supposed to let ua know when you received court claim. You say you "had court papers" and have now received a CCJ by default?
Try explaining yourself more clearly.3
