Not very intelligent not to pay the most powerful organization in the country, they will be on their radar even after being paid late...

True, and there is usually a steady stream of dates by which different payments for tax will be due so they need to stay ahead of the game this time and not let it get to this stage in future.
I just hope it doesn't mean they've now failed to pay something else that was due...

@ Newbie John Did you change your Tariff to default Lifestyle? If so is it any cheaper or better for you?
Switching to the EV version has made little cost difference for me but the switch went through quickly and without a hitch. Plus I have my prices fixed till next May and I can switch back if I don’t like it later.
Yeah, I'll do it later - maybe around September - the difference in summer would is negligible.

But would love to lock in for another cheap winter for a year.

I originally avoided it as was worried that cheaper 20:30 would convince me to cook dinner later - and coming from Agile i was tired of avoiding 16-19 period and Tomato did really well here - provided easy going winter and lowest bills I've had in many years.

Do you reckon they filled that job post for an in house solicitor? Or maybe Farouk intends to turn up as litigant in person himself and try to talk his way out of it.

From my point of view as a happy customer Tomato are the best energy supplier I’ve ever been with.
Price, Tariff options, Customer Sevice, MYWatts APP and Billing are all superior to anything I’ve experienced before.

Agreed. I have had a LOT of trouble with energy suppliers over the years. Scottish power, octopus, utility warehouse all managed to make a real mess of my complex account.

All have been ordered to pay compensation to customers for these failures. My experience with Tomato has been very good. The tariff is excellent & has been applied correctly from day 1. I am saving hundreds £££. The bills arrive once a month and I only have to pay what I use—not some randomly assessed (usually too high) direct debit which means the energy company sits on my money half the year.

If there are any issues I can phone, speak to a UK agent straight away and get things sorted immediately. I’ve literally never experienced that with another energy supplier.

Those of you rooting for their failure & trying to expedite it by scaring customers into leaving need to get a more productive hobby, I would suggest.

Have not joined but hope they keep going, market (where the energy retailers pay 10pkwh and sell for 24p) desperately needs some decent competition and companies than can work on lower margins without syphoning off hundreds of millions to Swiss bank accounts (or where the clever money goes these days).
