Winding-up petition withdrawn - looks like YüSmart eventually got paid. And someone needs to pay better attention to their invoices when they come in...

Good news, so another hurdle sorted, now TE can get back to loading up with more customers and becoming the cheapest supplier across the entire UK.Go TE.1

I'm now on 50% off for September and October.
Plus 15% off (so far) for November, December and January.
Hope they do manage to bill me before they go bust - but as they haven't in 8 months and counting then I won't hold my breath.0 -

Have we seen a TOU tariff supplier like Tomato go under yet? I wouldn't want to be part of that particular experiment. There's no guarantee that an administrator would settle bills based on data from third-party apps like Bright, either.
That's without noting that getting billing right is an energy company's literal One Job.5 -
Every month is a win with Tomato for those being billed.3

That's without noting that getting billing right is an energy company's literal One Job.Both TE bills have been spot on for me, something Octopus, BG, Scottish Power have all struggled with (at different times & addresses but all SMETS2 meters & with periodic MRs submitted by me & official meter reader)
Comparing my TE bills to previous tariff & my daughter's 'loyalty' tariff - I've saved between £7-9/month. Great for a low energy user like me who can switch when I consume energy.
Can anyone enlighten me why energy suppliers won't use the data from Bright etc? Octopus CS told me they're not allowed to, but couldn't explain why.
If they're allowed to use that data to generate estimated bills (& that data isn't 'yours' because you've recently moved in, why can't the same data source be used to dispute those estimated bills?0 -

I think someone said there was an allowance allowed between opening and closing reading, they don't have to be exactly the same - down to the "lovely" chaps at Ofgem.0
