Off to Edinburgh for four nights thursday. We are a couple in our 20's, any suggestions appreciated. :D

I'm currently considering the camera obscura, castle and zoo but am having trouble finding any money off vouchers or (edinburgh) passes that will give us a good bargain!! :money:

hi, i am taking my hubby in september as a suprise, we also have a 1 year old and are in our early 20's.

if your oh likes whisky why not go to glenkinchie distilery? it is about 10 miles outside edinburgh, also if you google glenkinchie it takes you to their main holder website where you can apply for a whisky passport!

they usually send you this pretty quickly, within 2 or 3 days and enrtance is then free with a decent tour and a few tastes for free too! :-)
If i was meant to be able to touch my toes then God would have put chocolate on the floor! :rotfl:

wins so far... 2 x koala, maclaren pushchair, tomy electronic baby photo frame, palmers cocoa butter and bust firming cream ;)

There is a 5 star youth hostel in Leith Walk which I understand is very good. Don't know about prices.

The Travelodge that is just down from Canongate is very centrally placed in the old city and has family rooms. It's quite good. If you sign up for their newsletter you can sometimes book rooms for £19 or £29 a night. We went down to Basildon one year and stayed in a £9 a night room.

Does anyone know of any discounts for the Whisky Experience?

I'd quite like to take my dad for his birthday but for the whole family (4 adults) to go would cost over £50!
  • 3 Harbours Arts festival is on this week until Sunday 6th June. Art (for sale) in peoples' houses! I highly recommend Cockenzie Power Station by the sea (great views) that has the biggest exhibition in the festival with very reasonably priced jewellery, wood craft, collages and paintings by Scottish artists. The 3 Harbours Arts festival takes place at picturesque Port Seton and Cockenzie East Lothian, just outside Edinburgh until Sunday. (11 - 6pm) https://www.3harbours.com

    Hi
Another popular event is the Light & Life Fair at Roxburghe Hotel, 38 Charlotte Square central Edinburgh (Tel 0844 879 9063). 8PM - 10PM on Monday 14th June 2010. Free Entry.
There is wonderful hand crafted silver jewellery and other crafts by local artists there and you can get free prayer for healing from physical, spiritual and emotional ailments, free massage and word from God, there's a prophetic art table there too. Many people are dramatically impacted by the evening and get a word/picture from God about their situation and healing too.
