13 was my number for GSE's and I passed with the highest number in the town.
If you are using numerology then you add the numbers together to make 4............in Chinese it's lucky as it sounds like 'fortune'

You can't change the number, now changing the name is considered unlucky so you're snookered :)
Like others, I'd suggest you look deeper to find out why the house is offered cheaper.
Dreadful neighbours would be my first look. Then what's wrong with the house. Then is it probate or people going abroad/into a home etc and want a quick sale.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

This is really silly.  I have lived at my house No 13 for 40 years and have been perfectly happy!
What does the 'B' stand for, Jan? Beelzebub?

Talking of which. isn't Trump 'weird'?

In Cantonese, 4 is unlucky because it sounds similar to ‘death’

As for OP’s question, number 13 wouldn’t put me off buying

    Hi All,

I have recently come across a property which is No. 13.  Soon after giving the offer, I realized it's considered unlucky and quite cheaper than usually market price. Now seller is not ready to negotiate.

I have few queries as below :
    1. Is it difficult to sell a house of number 13 if at all we buy this house ?
    2. Can we change the number to some other number or name I think ?
    3. Is it a long process to change this ?
    4. Anyone who had already come across this and did it, can you share some inputs please?

    Ta.

If I was selling and you asked to drop price based on a number, I would refuse too and wonder if you were a serious buyer.

as someone who lives in a No 13, I'd tell the buyer to find another property and not bother me again.
They can see the number before offering so are just a chancer / time waster.

If the property is good value then ignore the number- it makes no difference.

Stick a minus sign in front of it. Never heard any superstitions about -13.
Your post deliveries won't be a problem as you'll probably have the only negative house number in the UK.

  • Of course if the OP bought the house and then has a run of bad luck it will the the house's and our fault!

My grandparents lived at No. 15, adjoining No.11 , so should really have been No. 13. But the first house (and building for that matter) on their side of the street was actually No. 9. So back in the early 1930s some developers clearly didn't want to use No 13. But plenty of No. 13s in existence
The close I live in doesn't have a no. 13. There again all the houses have odd numbers. Fifteen house numbered 1 to 31

The road I grew up in had only even numbers. No problems with No. 13 there!
