I love Chinese takeaway and would never buy a house numbered 40

My grandparents lived at No. 15, adjoining No.11 , so should really have been No. 13. But the first house (and building for that matter) on their side of the street was actually No. 9. So back in the early 1930s some developers clearly didn't want to use No 13. But plenty of No. 13s in existenceIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Pretty dangerous to live next to number 13 too, surely? You wouldn't want your house to be affected when 13 spontaneously combusts, get hits by meteorite, suffers a plague of locusts, etc...7

I would be more concerned about Number 91 -
As an ex-meter reader I used to see a surprisingly large number of houses numbered 12A instead of 13.1

Change the number if you like but clearly it will still actually be 13.
We had a number 10. Berkshire. Put up sign "Seaview". (Nearest sea about 60 miles). Neighbours concluded we were even more bonkers than they'd originally thought.

Seriously, I would be bemused by a house that had been renumbered as a 12a instead of 13. If it had been done by the sellers, I would be concerned that they were ... unusual people.0 -
It wasn't until I moved into this bungalow that I started thinking 13 was unlucky. Moved in March 2021 - six months later November 2021 Storm Arwen blew the 'new' resin roof off the lounge/kitchen extension. (Cowboy job apparently, only nailed down, not screwed) Lived with saucepans and buckets and the recycling bin in the lounge for ten weeks, one of the wettest Christmases I remember. Lounge ceiling came down, it was frightening.
As a house warming gift to myself I'd had curtains made for the bedroom - curtain rail fitter walked into the bay window and said 'I can't work here, the floor is rotten'. Turned out every floor was rotten, company that had replaced the floors in 2016 had attached a repair to woodwormed joists. £20K spent and skint now.
Would I buy number 13 again? Not on your nelly.£216 saved 24 October 20140 -
A while ago my friends and I were crossing America by plane on Friday 13th.
So many flights were cancelled by nervous travellers we were offered a free direct flight coast -to-coast that saved us hours wasted on transfer connections. Plenty of people seem to be superstitious. not us though.
A relative lives in house no. 13 near us and hasn't had the slightest trouble since moving in 30 years ago. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I have recently come across a property which is No. 13. Soon after giving the offer, I realized it's considered unlucky and quite cheaper than usually market price. Now seller is not ready to negotiate.
I have few queries as below :
1. Is it difficult to sell a house of number 13 if at all we buy this house ?
2. Can we change the number to some other number or name I think ?
3. Is it a long process to change this ?
4. Anyone who had already come across this and did it, can you share some inputs please?
