The most likely reason a TV will get bent is if someone has leaned it up against something (either in or out of the box).  The boxes have warnings agsinst doing this, but they're not always followed.

No help to the OP - but at out local recycling centre/tip Samsung TVs make up the largest single proportion in the pile.

Have owned them in the past and been very pleased, but their build quality appears to have dropped somewhat

I think you'll find Samsung is the biggest selling brand so it;s not surprising there are more returns.

    hi
so i followed the instuctions on lifting the tv and laying it flt to moung the tv stand on back of it, then put on av stand and never touch the tv since, it also looks like its bent slightly down both sides too, i think the tv is only 10mm thick too, and the build qulity is prob not that great too, but like every company they try cutting corners to make cheaper, a tv should not be able to bend under normal install and moving a tv, i have no clue how this tv bent, wish i had check out the box but never, so i can only asume it was like this out the box, lets see what the tech guy says on thursday

It's not a matter of cheap construction - consumers (us) want ultra-thin TVs so they look good whilst mounted on the walls. (Plus they need to be light enough to wall mount).  One consequence of this is that the TVs are physically weaker and will bend under their own weight if handled or stored incorrectly.
